Send shipment from vendors to technician’s address using Line Items on POs

Overview

Ship purchase order (PO) items directly from a vendor to a technician's home by selecting the technician's address as the Ship To Address on the PO. This eliminates the need for technicians to go to the warehouse or office to pick up a shipment for a job or replenishment.

Note: This feature has been updated for most users and the processes are different. See Replenish items using transfers and Replenish items with purchase orders for the updated version.

Send a shipment using Line Items on POs

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Invoice.

  2. On the side menu, click Purchase Ordering.

  3. Click the Pending PO's tab.A cursor clicking the Pending PO's tab.

  4. Click the PO for the items you want to ship directly to a technician's address. The Purchase order details fly-out opens.

  5. Click Edit PO Items.A cursor clicking Edit PO Items.

  6. Under Ship to Address, select Technician Address.  

    Note: The technicians listed in the PO line item have their addresses listed. If there are no technicians or more than two technicians listed in line item PO, then you can't select a technician's address for shipment. To update a technician's address, see Add and manage office employee profiles.

  7. When you're done, click Save.
