Overview

With Phones Pro, you can send and receive a fax.


Who uses this feature

  • Administrators and CSRs

  • Applies to all business types

Feature configuration

  • To get started with Phones Pro, request a demo on our Pro Products page, or reach out to your Customer Success Manager (CSM) or Pro Account Manager.

Things to know

  • You can add a fax number from a call center, main line, or a department. Please contact your administrator to add a fax number to your account.

  • When you send a fax, dial one before your number.

Open call settings

  1. Go to the top toolbar bar and click Phones Pro to open the embedded dialer.        

    Note: If you don't have the embedded dialer enabled, sign in to your Dialpad account and skip to step four.

  2. In the Phones Pro embedded dialer, click the Wrench icon. User interface of Phones Pro showing dialing options and recent calls.

  4. In Dialpad, click Launch Dialpad.

Send a fax

  1. In Dialpad, click and select Send a faxMenu displaying options including 'Send a fax' highlighted for user selection.

  2. Search the recipient's name or enter their number. New fax notification for Wayne Gretzky with contact details and availability status.

  3. To upload a file from your computer, click Upload a file to send a fax.        

    Note: The supported file should be less than 10MB.

You can view the fax files in your fax department.

Delete a fax file

Click and select Delete.

Receive a fax

You get an incoming message notification when someone sends you a fax file.

To view the received fax file:

  1. In Dialpad, go to your fax department > FaxesFax Line interface showing options for managing faxes and contact information.

Disable fax notifications

You can stop receiving email notifications for the fax files you receive.

To do that:

  1. In Dialpad settings, go to Your Settings > Call Handling & Voicemails.

  2. Uncheck the Receive email notifications for new faxes option.
