Schedule legacy reports

Overview

You can schedule reports to receive them automatically on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Share them with others on your team, too, by setting up specific guidelines. Once a report is scheduled, an email is sent to the recipients based on the schedule you selected.

Things to know

  • Legacy reports are basic reports that can't be customized for your business. See Built-in Reports for more updated versions of the legacy reports. You can also create your own custom reports to focus on the data important to your business.

  • You can filter reports by content based on the recipient when scheduling reports, allowing specific roles to see specific information. Account configuration is required. Please contact Technical Support for details.

Schedule a report

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Reports.

  2. In Reports, click Legacy Reports in the side panel.

  3. In the list of reports that opens, find the report you want to schedule and click Schedule on the right of the report name.

    Note: If you don’t see a report, you can search by report name. Enter the name of the report to view related results, or browse by category.

  4. Enter details for the report, such as name, date range, business unit you want to report on, and periodicity (which is how often you want the report to run). You can also update the subject line, so your recipients know what the email is about before opening it.

  5. When finished, click Save.

Legacy report fields

Name

Name of the report; this is how it will read in all emails sent for the report scheduled

Subject

Enter a subject to classify the report. This is the subject line of the email  recipients see when they receive the report.

Business Unit

You can select to schedule reports for individual business units or all business units.

Status

Filter based on invoice status: Posted, Exported, or All

Date Range

You can select a date range for the scheduled report to see only data for those days.

Attach report as

Select the check boxes to send the report as a PDF or XLSX document.

Next send date

Schedule the next send date for the report.

Interval

You can schedule the report to be sent out on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

Periodicity


                           

Add how often you want the report to be sent to your recipients based on the interval.


                           

For example, if you select Daily for Interval and enter 2 for the Periodicity, the report is delivered every two days at the scheduled send time.


                       

Recipients

Select your recipients.

Note: Filtering content by recipient works with specific reports once the feature is enabled. If the option does not appear when scheduling a report, it's not available for that specific report.

You can schedule reports and filter the content by  recipient. This enables you to send scheduled reports to recipients AND select the content they see based on their role.
