Overview

Mark a customer as Do Not Service so your customer service representatives (CSRs) know they shouldn’t book jobs with this customer. Marking a customer as Do Not Service also applies to each service location tied to the customer in ServiceTitan.

Note: Specific trades cannot be marked as Do Not Service. Only individual customer records can be marked as Do Not Service.

Feature configuration

  • The View Customer and Edit Customer permissions are required to use this feature. Please contact the account administrator in your team.

Things to know

  • To book a recall, warranty, or lead job for a customer marked Do Not Service, use the Job Actions menu on the job record. You can't book jobs for a Do Not Service customer from the Call Booking screen.

  • If you mark a customer as Do Not Service after booking a job with them, you can reschedule the job.

  • Do Not Service shows in multiple places throughout ServiceTitan, including Call Booking, customer records, location records belonging to the customer, upcoming recurring services, and job records.

  • In Search, you can use the Tags filter to find customers or locations marked Do Not Service.

  • If you mark a customer as Do No Service, that customer will be automatically excluded from Marketing Pro audiences.

Mark a customer as Do Not Service

  1. Search for and open the customer's record.

  2. Click Edit   next to the customer’s name.

  3. Scroll to the Additional Info section and select Do Not Service.

  4. Click Save.

The customer's record and their related service location records are now marked Do Not Service.

Remove Do Not Service from a customer

  1. Search for and open the customer's record.

    Tip: Use the Tags filter on the Search screen to quickly find customers marked Do Not Service.

  2. Click Edit   next to the customer’s name.

  3. Scroll to the Additional Info section, deselect Do Not Service.

  4. Click Save.

The customer's record and their related service location records are no longer marked Do Not Service.
