Manage recurring inventory counts

Overview

The Recurring Inventory Counts section in Settings helps you to make sure that inventory counts remain accurate by allowing you to:

  • Manage when recurring inventory counts are generated

  • Change when a recurring count will end

  • Update the templates used to generate counts

The Recurring Inventory Counts section is divided into three tabs:

  • Managed Schedule Templates

  • Templates

  • Settings


Who uses this feature

  • Warehouse managers

  • Applies to all business types

Feature configuration

  • Account configuration is required to use this feature. Please contact Technical Support for details.

Edit scheduled templates

  1. Go to the top toolbar and click SettingsA simple icon representing a settings gear. .

  2. In the side panel, go to Inventory > Recurring Inventory Counts.

  3. In the Manage Schedule Templates tab, select the scheduled template you want to edit.

  4. Click Edit.A cursor clicking Edit next to the schedule template.

  5. On the Edit Scheduled Template screen that opens, you can update:

    1. End Date: Enter the date by which you or your employees want to stop scheduling the inventory count template.

    2. Cadence: Select how frequently you would like to perform this count from the dropdown.Image showing the End and Cadence dates.

  6. When finished, click Save.

Cancel scheduled templates

  1. In the Manage Schedule Templates tab, you can do one of the following:

  • Select the scheduled template you want to end, then click Cancel.A cursor clicking Cancel next to the schedule template.

  • Select the scheduled template you want to end, then click Edit. On the Edit Scheduled Template screen that opens, click End Recurring Count.A cursor clicking End Recurring Count.

Tip: To cancel schedule templates in bulk, select the schedule templates you want to cancel, then click Delete.

2. On the verification pop-up that opens, click End Recurring Count.

Edit templates

  1. On the Recurring Inventory Counts screen, click the Templates tab.

  2. Select the template you want to edit, then click Edit.A cursor clicking Edit after selecting the template to edit.

  3. On the Edit Template screen that opens, you can update:

    1. Inventory Count Template Name: Enter the inventory count name you want.Image showing the Inventory Count Template Name field.

    2. Items: You can add more items or remove them.

  4. Click Add to add more items, then click the Select an item dropdown and select the item you want to add.

    Tip: You can search for an item by its name, code, description, or part number.

  5. Select the item you want to delete from the list, then click Remove.A cursor clicking Remove to delete the selected item from list.

  6. When finished, click Save.

Deactivate templates

  1. On the Recurring Inventory Counts screen, click the Templates tab, then do one of the following:

    1. Select the template you want to deactivate, then click Cancel.A cursor clicking cancel next to the template to deactivate it.

    2. Select the template you want to deactivate, then click Edit. On the Edit Template screen that opens, click Deactivate.A cursor clicking the Deactivate button on the Edit Template screen.

Tip: To deactivate templates in bulk, select the templates you want to deactivate, then click Delete.

2. On the verification pop-up that opens, click Deactivate.
