Problem
The phone is not showing the correct time for the user's timezone (PST) even after changing the Date & Time and timezone settings.
Solution
To solve this issue, try checking the SNTP in the Phone Web Interface or the network, or modify the phone settings.
Check SNTP in the Phone Web Interface (GUI)
Get your phone's IP address.
On the phone, press Menu/Settings > Status > Network > TCPIP Parameters.
Note the IP address.
From a computer on the same network as the phone, open a web browser and navigate to your phone's IP address.
Log in using the username admin and your phone's password.
Click Preferences > Date & Time.
Under Time Synchronization, ensure SNTP Server is set to pool.ntp.org.
When finished, click Save.
Note: The phone will begin rebooting. Let it complete the process.
Change the Time Synch option in the phone settings
The problem may lie in your router or server. Potentially, the issue may also originate with your ISP.
You may also try modifying the Time Synch option in the phone setting via web GUI:
Navigate to phone Preferences.
Click Date & Time.
Expand Time Synchronization.
For Override DHCP's SNTP Server, set it to No.
Check your Network/ISP
If date and time issues persist, the device providing Internet and SNTP settings to your network may need attention. Check the configuration on your DHCP device (the router, server, etc.), set SNTP, and open DNS.
Primary Timer Server: 0.pool.ntp.org
Secondary Time Server: 1.pool.ntp.org
Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8
Secondary DNS: 8.8.4.4
DNS Domain: google.com
If the issue continues after local troubleshooting, contact your Internet service provider to report an SNTP issue preventing your network devices from syncing the correct date and time.
