How can I activate a technician's account when the system states that their email and phone number already exist?

Problem

When I try to activate a technician's account, I receive the following error messages: "User with this email already exists" and "User with this mobile number already exists.

Solution

When you get such error messages, the technician already has an account with the same email address and phone number.

Filter technician records

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Settings .

  2. In the side panel, click People > Technicians.

  3. Click Filter to filter by active and inactive technicians.

  4. Search for the technician's name and click Edit.

You can either:

  • Activate the technician if their profile is inactive:

In the technician profile, click Profile Actions and select the Activate Technician option.

Note: Make sure to enable the Enable Mobile Access toggle.

  • Remove the technician's email address and phone number from the existing profile if you're going to create a new account
