Difference between a visit and a job
When creating a service agreement, in the Scope of Work step, you can add visits. Visits are placeholders for future work accounted for in the service agreement. Jobs are booked from the visit and represent the actual work that is completed for the service agreement.
When adding visits to the service agreement, make sure to fill out as much detail for the visit as possible. This information is pre-populated when booking the job, which saves you time and ensures the correct information is added to a job.

We recommend that you turn on the following job booking settings in order to send as much information about the visit as possible to the job when booking the job:
Book jobs from a service agreement
After the service agreement is activated, you can book the job on the service agreements Dashboard or Visits tab.
To book a job for the visit, click Book Job under the Job #. You can also click Actions > Book a Job.

You can also book jobs from the Follow Ups screen:
Go to Follow Up > Service Agreements Visits.
The Service Agreement Visits table loads.Locate the visit you want to book, then click Actions > Book a Job.
When booking a job, the details of the visit, such as the job summary, job type, job duration, campaign value, and equipment, are pre-populated in the Call Booking screen.

Coming ST-80:
A visit doesn't always have to create a new job. If the work for a visit was already completed on a job that exists—for example, a technician did the agreement work but the job was never marked as a service agreement visit—you can attach the visit to that job instead. This keeps your agreement records accurate without creating a duplicate job or dismissing a visit that was genuinely performed. For more, see Attach service agreement visits to existing jobs.
