Create transfers to move inventory items between two different inventory locations. This allows you to track your inventory items more precisely.
Note
This workflow applies only if you have enabled the Transfers to Job feature. If not, see Create, edit, and copy inventory transfers.

Create a transfer
Go to the navigation bar and click Inventory
. In the side menu, click Transfers.
On the Transfers screen that opens, click Create.
The Create Transfers screen opens.In the Transfers Details section, enter the transfer details.

Note: The Job # field shows in the Transfer Details if you enable the Transfer Items to Job option in Settings > Transfer Types for the selected transfer type. This allows you to assign a job to the transfer, and inventory items are added to the job invoice when received.

Go to the Item List section.
From the Select an item dropdown field, select the item you want to add.
Tip: Search for an item by its name, code, description, or part number.
In the Qty to Transfer field, select the quantity you want to transfer.

Tip: Click the Quantity Available to Pick to see more details about the inventory item numbers.
When you have entered transfer details and added all items, click Save.
The items are now ready to be picked up for the transfer. See Inventory item transfer workflow for more details.
Note: If the Transfer Type is set to auto-receive, then the status of the transfer is Received. You can view all received transfers in the Received tab of the Transfer screen.
