Create conversion opportunity tags

Overview

Conversion opportunity tags help you monitor your technicians' effectiveness in selling pricebook items, for instance, by attaching a tag to an air filter in your pricebook.

Things to know

• Jobs sharing the same tag on the invoice are considered successful conversions, allowing you to generate reports for performance analysis.

• You can attach a conversion opportunity tag to a job when you enter job details.

• Conversion opportunity tags can track the conversion rates of  materials, and services.

• You can't add conversion tags to equipment records.

• Conversion opportunity tags are also used to track replacement opportunities.

• When you book a job with a conversion opportunity, attach the same conversion opportunity tag to the job. The opportunity is considered converted when the technician on the job adds the item to the invoice, enabling easy tracking in the Tag Conversion Report by Technician.

Create a tag

1. Go to the top toolbar and click Settings .

2. In the side panel, go to Operations > Tag Types.

3. Click Add.

4. Enter the Color, Name, and Code for the tag.

5. Select the importance of the tag from the dropdown list.
   

6. Select Conversion opportunity.

7. Click Save.
   

Attach a tag to a pricebook item

You can attach an opportunity tag by editing the item:

1. Go to the navigation bar and click Pricebook .

2. From the side menu, click Services or Materials, depending on the item you want to edit. The item table opens.

3. Browse the table or use the search field to find the item you want to edit. You can search by item code, name, or description.

   Tip: For service and material items, click Filters to open the filters menu. You can include items in the table based on price, sold hours, category, and other details. After you set your filters, click Apply. 

4. For the item you want to edit, on the right side of the item table, click Moreand select View/Edit Item.
   

5. On the Edit Item screen that opens, click the Conversion Tags dropdown and select the tag you want to use.
   

6. When finished, click Save.

You can also add tags to services, materials, or equipment by inline editing. 

1. From the side menu, click Services or Materials, depending on the item you want to edit. 

2. Switch the toggle to Edit Mode.

3. Click the Conversion Tags field.

   Note: If you don’t see the Conversion Tags column, you can customize item table columns.
