Configuring Non-Commissionable Tasks in Technician Payroll Settings

Prev Next

Problem

The administrator wants to mark certain tasks as non-commissionable in the Technician Payroll Settings. They want to exclude these tasks from the technician's commissionable base so that they don't get paid commission on them.

Solution

  1. Go to Pricebook in the main navigation menu.

  2. Create the new tasks as Materials or Equipment.

  3. Select Deduct as job cost in the Details section.

  4. Create a pay rule that takes the pay calculation based on the Commissionable Base. Because these items would be deducted from the commissionable base, they would not count towards the technician's pay calculation.

  5. Repeat these steps for any other tasks that you want to mark as non-commissionable.

By following these steps, you should now be able to mark specific tasks in ServiceTitan as non-commissionable, so that they are excluded from the technician's commissionable base in payroll calculations.
