Overview

You can set your caller ID in Dialpad so that when you place outbound calls, customers see a callback number that's related to your business, making them more likely to answer.

  • To get started with Phones Pro, request a demo on our Pro Products page, or reach out to your Customer Success Manager (CSM) or Pro Account Manager.

Things to know

  • For accurate marketing reports, do not use a number that's assigned to a marketing campaign as your caller ID.

  • For best practice, use your business location's main line as your caller ID.

  • This feature applies to advanced seat users only.

Change your caller ID

  1. Go to the top toolbar and click Phones Pro  to open the embedded dialer.        

    Note: If you don't have the embedded dialer enabled, sign in to your Dialpad account and skip to step four.

  2. In the Phones Pro embedded dialer, click the Wrench icon. User interface of Phones Pro showing call options and contact center status.Phone Preferences opens.

  4. Click the Caller ID dropdown and select the number you want to use as your caller ID. Profile settings showing contact information and options for caller ID management.

  5. When you're done, close the Dialpad tab. Your changes are automatically saved.
