# Cancel inventory counts

## Overview

Cancel unnecessary inventory counts to keep your records clean and accurate.

## Cancel an inventory count

1. 2. In the side menu, click **Inventory Counts**.
3. On the *Inventory Counts* screen that opens, click the **Pending**, **In Progress**, **Review**, or **Completed** tab to view counts with that status.

> **Tip:** Use the Inventory Locations and Count Type filters to narrow the list of inventory counts.
4. 5. Click **Cancel**.
6. 7. Click **Cancel Counts**.

Canceled inventory counts appear in the *Canceled* tab.

> **Tip:** Although you can't change the status of a canceled inventory count, you can copy a canceled inventory count and the copy appears in the Pending tab. For details, see [Copy inventory counts.](/roofing/docs/copy-inventory-counts)
