Can technicians call from their personal numbers through the app and have customers see their number instead of the office number?

Problem

Technicians' calls show the office number, not their personal numbers. Customers call back to the office.

Solution

You cannot set your technician's phone number as an outbound caller ID. However, as a workaround, you can select an outbound caller ID from the list of tracking numbers, and then forward the calls to the technician's personal phone number.

Enable Technician Outbound Caller ID

  1. Go to Settings A simple icon representing a settings gear. > People > Technicians.

  2. In the Contact Information section, select an Outbound Caller ID.        

    Note: This feature only allows you to select a tracking number from the list of numbers in Settings A simple icon representing a settings gear. > Phones or Phones Pro > Phone Numbers.

Link the tracking number to the technician's phone number

  1. In the Phone Numbers section, locate the tracking number you assigned as the technician's Outbound Caller ID.

  2. Edit the tracking number. Forward calls from the new number to the technician's personal phone number.
