Adding an extension to a user in Dialpad

Problem

You want to implement Extensions within your Dialpad to make intercompany dialing easier, but you can't find out where Extensions can be set up within Dialpad.

Solution

Adding an extension to a user in Dialpad

1. From Dialpad, click Admin Settings, then click Users.  

2. On the Users page, locate the user you wish to add the extension to. Click on Options to the right of this person's name, then click into the Calling section, before finally clicking Add extension. 

3. An Edit Extension box will appear, where you will be prompted to enter an extension number, with a limit of 5 digits. Enter your preferred extension, then hit Save.
