Users want to Split the commission of a Sold estimate 50-50 between two technicians. They want both technicians to get credit for the sale. However, only the technician marked as Sold by on the estimate gets credit. The sales metrics do not reflect the split.
Solution
Go to Settings > People > Technicians.
Edit the Technician Profile and make sure both technicians are marked as Managed Technicians.
Go to the Sold Estimate where you want to add a second technician.
Split the estimate into two parts by creating another estimate on the job, add some of the items to the new one, and delete them from the first one. This is necessary because ServiceTitan currently allows only one technician to be marked as Sold by on an estimate. For more, see Add an estimate to an opportunity.
Assign one technician as the Sold by person for the first sold estimate.
Assign the second technician as the Sold by person for the second newly created estimate.
Ensure each part of the estimate reflects an equal value. This way, both technicians receive equal credit for the sale.
Check the technician scorecard to confirm that the sales metrics reflect the split correctly.
By following these steps, both technicians can receive credit for the sale, and it will count towards their total sales metrics for the month.
Split determines how much credit each technician is getting for the job. For example: If two technicians perform work on a job, the split could be an even 50%-50%, or it could be 75%-25% if the first technician did a bulk of the work.
By default 100% of the technician split will go to the first technician assigned to the job.
