Services, materials, and equipment items now display in tables with inline editable fields that include images, codes, item descriptions, prices, and more. Further improvements include:

For more on this feature, see Edit pricebook items.

SERVICETITAN MOBILE

  • Phone capture: To make it easier to take photos and videos and add them to jobs, technicians can now capture images from their mobile phone and sync them directly to the job. Once added to a job, each image is also added to the job audit trail. For more, see Use Phone Capture.

Improvements

ACCOUNTING INTEGRATIONS

  • Automatically track sales tax in QuickBooks Desktop: You can now map tax zones in ServiceTitan to QuickBooks tax rates or groups to automate the sales tax tracking in QuickBooks when exporting invoices. This ensures ServiceTitan and QuickBooks use the same tax rate to calculate sales tax. For more on sales tax tracking, see Set up QuickBooks Desktop sales tax and Map ServiceTitan tax zones to QuickBooks Desktop tax rates.

  • Export $0 invoices to Intacct or QuickBooks Desktop : You can now export $0 invoices which ensures that non-inventory equipment or service items that are $0, such as warranty work, are reflected in your accounting system. For more on exporting, see Batch, post, and export transactions.

ALERTS

  • Self dispatching will no longer trigger an SMS alert notification: To reduce the number of redundant alerts and notifications, technicians who dispatch themselves to a job no longer receive an SMS alert that they were dispatched to a job.

CONTACTLESS EXPERIENCE

  • Email address no longer required for contactless experience: Previously, you were required to select at least one email address to use E-sign. Now, your technicians can choose to send the e-sign link to customers as a text message if the customer prefers. Once a customer signs each document using their mobile device, they will receive a copy of it as a text message, where they can view and download signed documents. For more, see Use the contactless experience.

CUSTOMER COMMUNICATIONS

  • Exclude business units and job types from customer notifications: To give you more control over the types of notifications sent to customers, you can now exclude specific BUs and job types from the following types of notifications:

    • Booking confirmations

    • Reminder notifications

    • Dispatch notifications

    • Job completion surveys

For more on this feature, see Restrict customer notifications by business unit or job type.

DASHBOARDS AND SCORECARDS

  • Set custom dashboard as default: Now you can set a custom dashboard as the default so you can quickly see business metrics that are relevant to you when you access the Dashboard tab. For more on custom dashboards, see Use custom dashboards.

DISPATCH

  • Dispatch board enhancements: We’ve made a set of enhancements to the Dispatch Board to make it easier and more intuitive to use for your business. Specific enhancements include:

    • Business unit filters on the dispatch board now applied to the legacy map: To minimize confusion and reduce clutter on the dispatch board map, all filters applied to the dispatch board also apply to the map. Previously, the dispatch board map always showed all technicians and jobs, regardless of any filters set for the dispatch board. For more, see Using the dispatch board.

    • Schedule board is now color-coded by technician: To make it easier to understand at a glance which technicians are assigned to which jobs, the schedule board is color-coded by technician. Previously, the color of jobs on the schedule board was set by the zone of the job. For more, see Use the schedule board.

INVOICING

  • Chargeable materials listed as Materials in customer invoice and estimate: Since all materials on a customer invoice and estimate are chargeable, the word chargeable is removed and all materials are listed under Materials to prevent confusion.

JOBS

  • Further enhancements to the jobs page: We’re continuing to enhance the look and feel of the jobs page without affecting how you used it. Improvements include:

    • Timesheets on each job: To make it easier to quickly assess and access technician timesheets for a job, we’ve enhanced the timesheets panel to have rollup reporting instead of individual timestamps. Previously, each timesheet entry was listed sequentially, making it difficult to see at a glance how much time was spent on any given job, especially if you had multiple technicians being dispatched to the same job for a long period of time.

    • How estimates are displayed on each job: Now, it will take you fewer clicks to get to the estimate you want to see. When you click on an estimate, we’ll link you directly to that estimate rather than the Opportunity page. If you click on a sold Estimate, we’ll take you directly to the sold estimate page, where you can book work into an install. If you’d like to go to the Opportunity page, click View Opportunity. Fewer clicks all around!

    • Improved visibility of the job summary: The job summary has moved up to make it more prominent.

    • Enhanced service location and bill to section: To make it easier to quickly identify key details about a job’s service location and bill to address, we’ve updated the styling of this section.

    • Easier to share the Job page: We know many of you often take screenshots of the job page or copy-paste a link to the job to share with your coworkers. To make it easier to share the job page, you can now click on the Copy icon to copy the job’s name, number, type, location, and a link to the job to the clipboard.

For more on this feature, see Manage jobs.

MARKETING PRO

  • More columns when exporting audiences: To give you more actionable data, when you export a Marketing Pro audience, it will now include additional details like customer names, addresses, phone numbers, and more. For more on this feature, see Create and edit audiences.

MEMBERSHIPS

  • Improvements to Expiring Memberships in Follow Ups: Now, when reviewing the Expiring Memberships table in Follow Ups, clicking an item in the Estimate column opens the estimate in a new tab. Also, a new refresh button lets you update the Expiring Memberships table without having to reset all your filters. This lets you more efficiently manage renewing expiring memberships. For more on this feature, see Follow up on expiring memberships.

  • Recurring Services report template enhancements: : The Recurring Services - Upcoming Appointments custom report template includes new column options to help you book recurring service events into jobs. New columns include:

    • Customer tags—Any tags attached to the customer record

    • Location tags—Any tags attached to the service location record

    • Recurring service event ID—Unique identifier for the recurring service event. Clicking an ID opens the recurring service event in a new window.

For more on this feature, see Recurring services - Upcoming Appointments report template.

  • Improved deferred revenue management for dismissed recurring service events: Now, when you recognize deferred revenue for a dismissed recurring service event, the current date is used on the recognized revenue invoice. Previously, the date the recurring service event was scheduled to occur was used. This ensures that revenue is recognized during the correct accounting period. For more on this feature, see Dismiss multiple recurring service events.

MOBILE

  • Quick add button for upgrades in ServiceTitan Mobile: When viewing service and equipment items with upgrades on estimates and invoices, a new button allows technicians to add an upgrade item without having to go to the Item Details screen. This simplifies the process of adding upgrades to estimates and invoices. For more on this feature, see (coming soon).

  • Arrival by GPS: Now, when dispatched technicians with GPS-enabled mobile devices arrive within 100 meters of their job location, they are automatically arrived. Technicians can also manually arrive themselves if GPS is unavailable. For more on this feature, see Arrive by GPS.

  • Clock in and out of meal breaks: Technicians can now clock in and out of meal breaks from their mobile devices. Previously, meal breaks were managed from the office. This frees up office employees for other responsibilities while giving technicians more clock management independence. For more on this feature, see (coming soon).

PRICEBOOK

  • Pricebook Mobile View: Pricebook now includes Mobile View, which displays pricebook items on your office computer as they appear in ServiceTitan Mobile. This lets you preview your categories and items so you can make review changes before customers see them. For more on this feature, see Edit pricebook items.

  • Import and export from Pricebook: Importing and exporting your pricebook is a new option in the Pricebook side menu. Now you no longer have to navigate into your settings to import and export your pricebook. For more on this feature, see Import and export your pricebook.

  • Membership pricing table disables billing task price field in Pricebook: The new membership pricing table lets you directly set prices for billing memberships so you don’t need to enter prices in your pricebook. To avoid confusion, the price fields of the billing task items used to bill memberships are hidden in your pricebook. For more on the membership pricing table, see Create membership types.

  • Equipment costs in Price Setup Wizard calculations: The Price Setup Wizard now uses equipment costs and any included markups when calculating prices. This helps you more accurately price service items based on your costs. For more on this feature, see Run the Price Setup Wizard.

REPORTING

  • Search all reports from the Reports home screen: Now, when you use the search bar from the Reports home screen, the search query covers all reports. This saves a step as you previously had to go to All Reports before being able to perform a full search. For more on customizing the Reports home screen, see Bookmark reports.

  • New data aggregation tools for report columns: You can now view aggregate column details directly in reports, giving you new ways to analyze your business metrics. Depending on the column type, you can find column totals, column averages, total number of entries, total number of unique entries, or maximum value and minimum value for items in a column. For example, with a couple clicks, you can:

    • Sum up sold hours on an invoice report

    • Calculate the average invoice amount on a memberhsips report

    • Count the total number of calls received on a CSR report

    • Count the number of different customers on a marketing report

    • View the highest ticket subtotal on a jobs report

For more on this feature, see Aggregate report column data.

  • Income from Sales column in performance reports:: You can include the new column, Income from Sales, in custom reports based on the Business Unit Performance and Technician Performance templates. The column totals all income items on sold estimates. You can compare income from sales to actual revenue on invoices to get insight on sales and job technician performance. For more on these custom report templates, see Technician performance report template.
