What's new
Before this release, a roofing sales manager who wanted to see how the pipeline was performing had to run separate reports, export them, and rebuild the picture in a spreadsheet. By the time that picture was assembled it no longer matched reality, so coaching conversations happened without current numbers behind them. Now a sales manager opens the Roofing Sales Manager dashboard from Analytics and sees the whole funnel on one screen, with separate Sales Overview, Pipeline & Activity, and Performance Deep Dive tabs. Five filters sit across the top, for date range, pipeline type, business unit, job type, and sales rep, and they apply to everything below them at the same time. Each measure on the screen shows the change against the comparison period, and selecting any measure or any cell in a grid opens a drawer listing the exact jobs or estimates behind that number. That list can be sorted by any column and downloaded as a CSV file, so a manager can move from a number that looks wrong to the jobs causing it in a single step.
Workflow comparison — before & after
← Before
✓ After
1.Open the Reports screen and run a report for jobs scheduled in the period you want to review.
1.Open Analytics and click on the Roofing Sales Manager dashboard.
2.Run a second report for estimates, and a third for sold work.
2.Set the filters across the top for the period, pipeline type, business unit, job type, and sales rep you want to review.
3.Export all three to a spreadsheet and line the numbers up by week.
3.Read the funnel and the measures above it to see where work is dropping out between stages.
4.Build your own conversion percentages between each stage.
4.Click any measure, or any cell in a rolling 12 month grid, to open the drawer listing the jobs or estimates behind it.
5.Go back into ServiceTitan to look up any job that stands out.
5.Sort that list by any column, or download it as a CSV file, to take into a coaching conversation.
⚠ The numbers are out of date before the sales meeting starts, and there is no direct path from a percentage that looks wrong to the jobs behind it.
✓ A sales manager sees where the funnel is leaking and reaches the specific stalled jobs in the same sitting, so the conversation with the rep happens the same day.
How it works for your industry
Roofing and Exteriors
After a storm drives a spike in roof inspections, a sales manager filters the dashboard to the past two weeks and sees that appointments are being scheduled at the usual rate but far fewer are turning into estimates, which points at inspection capacity rather than demand.
A manager reviewing rep performance opens the rolling 12 month grid grouped by sales rep and finds one rep whose estimate volume is steady while sold volume has fallen for three months running, then clicks into that rep's jobs to see which proposals went cold.
Before a monthly marketing review, a manager filters by campaign and compares how each lead source moves through the funnel, so the spend conversation is about which campaigns produce sold roofs rather than which produce calls.
How to prepare
01
Have an administrator reach out to Support or your Customer Success Manager (CSM) to have the Roofing Sales Manager and Analytics configurations enabled. Because this feature is in Private Preview, access is limited and request based.
02
Confirm your account has general ledger (GL) based costing turned on, and that your job types are mapped to opportunities in Settings. Almost every measure on the dashboard counts only jobs whose job type is mapped to an opportunity, so a dashboard will look empty until that mapping is done. The job type setting ships turned off for all existing job types.
03
Have an administrator turn on the Analytics 3.0 permissions for each person who needs the dashboard. This is a new permission, it controls access to the Demand Domain and the Foundational Data Domain that the dashboard reads from, and it is turned off for every role by default.
04
Identify the sales managers who will use the dashboard daily, and agree with them which measures they will review in the weekly pipeline meeting, so the first conversations are about the funnel rather than about the screen.
