See each vehicle's full day in one view with Activity Timeline
Activity Timeline is a new Fleet Pro screen that shows each vehicle's day as driving, idling, and stop segments, with events marked where they happened.
What's new
Before, finding out where a vehicle went and what happened on the way meant checking several screens. You looked at the Live Map or Breadcrumb Trail, then the Event Report, then Jobs or Dispatch, and put the day together yourself. Now, Activity Timeline shows each vehicle's day on one screen. Driving, idling, and stops appear in time order, with safety and telematics events marked on top. Select any segment to see a map, start and end times, addresses, the vehicle and driver, and the events from that part of the day. This feature will roll out to Fleet Pro accounts after the ST-82 release is live.
Workflow comparison — before & after
How it works for your industry
Residential Service and Replacement
- A plumbing service manager gets a call about a technician who arrived late. The manager opens that van's day and sees a long Idling segment before the stop. Selecting it shows the address and how long the van sat.
- A heating and cooling manager reviews the morning for a group of service vans. Event markers on the Driving segments show where speeding happened. The manager watches the event video before coaching the driver.
- An electrical company owner spots a gray Stop segment in the middle of the afternoon. Selecting it shows the address and how long the stop lasted, so the owner can compare it with that day's jobs on the Dispatch Board.
Commercial Service and Replacement
- A facilities maintenance company sends technicians to several buildings each day. A manager reviews one van's row to see the order and length of each stop before answering a property manager's question.
- A fuel bill comes in higher than expected. A manager selects a group of service trucks and looks for long orange Idling segments to see which trucks idled most and where.
- A speeding marker appears on a truck's afternoon drive. The manager opens Driving Details, finds the event in the list, and selects the locate button to see exactly where it happened.
Residential Construction
- A remodeling superintendent wants to confirm that a crew truck reached the job site on time. The superintendent looks up the job address on the Dispatch Board or the Job screen. Then the superintendent selects the truck's first Stop segment in Activity Timeline and compares the stop address and start time with the job.
- A builder reviews the drive between the supply yard and a new home site. Driving Details shows the route on a map, plus the duration and distance.
- A customer asks when the crew showed up last week. The office manager looks up the job address on the Job screen, then uses the previous and next day arrows in Activity Timeline to find the truck's stops at that address.
Commercial Construction
- A project manager on a large build selects a group of trucks. The timeline shows which vehicles were stopped and which were driving. The project manager compares the stop addresses with the job site address on the Dispatch Board to see which trucks were on site.
- A safety lead reviews event markers for equipment delivery trucks each morning. Hovering over a marker shows the event name and time, and event video helps the lead review what happened.
- Several drivers share the same trucks. Before reviewing a trip, the manager checks the driver's name under the vehicle ID to confirm who was assigned that day.
