Create multiple estimates faster with Spec-Based Estimate Templates - Allow Multi-Select in Build Estimate Modal (Job & Project)

This improvement lets you select multiple Spec-Based Estimate Templates (SBET) when building estimates from a job or project, saving time and clicks.

What's changing?

Before, the Build Estimate modal for jobs or projects only allowed selecting one SBET template at a time. If you needed to create multiple estimates, you had to repeat the entire flow. Now, you can choose more than one SBET template in the same session. After selection, you complete a guided form for each template (shown in tabs), then submit once to generate all the estimates. If measurement integrations are enabled, you can assign measurements per template.

  1. Go to a Job or Project.

  2. Open the Build Estimate modal.

  3. Select one SBET template.

  4. Complete the form and generate the estimate.

  5. Repeat for each additional template.

    Impact: Repeating the flow increases time and clicks.

After

  1. Go to a Job or Project.

  2. Open the Build Estimate modal.

  3. Select multiple SBET templates.

  4. Complete each form (one tab per template) in one session.

  5. Submit once to generate all estimates.

    Impact: Reduces effort when creating multiple estimates.

How it works for your industry

Roofing

  • A sales coordinator creates estimates for three SBET templates during a roofing job and submits them all at once.

  • An office employee selects multiple roofing or window templates, completes forms in sequence, and submits in one flow.

  • A manager reviews multi-template estimate output to present options during a customer follow-up call.

How to Prepare?

  1. Have an administrator reach out to Support or your CSM to have SBET enabled for your account.

  2. Train sales or estimating teams on the new multi-select flow.

  3. Identify jobs or projects where multiple templates are commonly used.

  4. Align measurement mapping for each template if integrations are on.

  5. Monitor usage trends and feedback after rollout.
