This improvement to Equipment Type configuration expands the list of available capacity increment options, so you can define capacity levels that match real-world equipment specifications.

What's changing?
Previously, the Capacity Increment field in Settings > Equipment Types offered a limited set of values that made it difficult to configure fine-grained capacity levels, particularly for equipment at the low end (such as small residential units) or high end (such as large commercial or industrial systems). You often had to choose the closest available option, leading to inaccurate capacity definitions and downstream display issues.
With this improvement, the Capacity Increment dropdown now displays numeric values and includes a significantly expanded set of options: 0.1, 0.25, 0.5, 1, 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, sorted in ascending order. These values are consistent across Settings Equipment Types, Pricebook Equipment Types, and Installed Equipment.

How to Prepare?
Review your current Equipment Type configurations in Settings > Equipment Types and identify any equipment whose capacity increment was previously set to an approximate value. Update those configurations to use a more precise increment now that additional options are available.
If you use range-based maintenance schedules tied to equipment capacity, verify that your ranges still calculate correctly. Existing ranges are unchanged, but you may want to refine them now that finer increments are available.
