Add Business Units to Client Specific Pricing to apply accurate pricing

Prev Next

This improvement to Client Specific Pricing (CSP) helps apply correct rates by letting you assign Business Units (BUs) to pricing rules.

Advanced settings for editing client-specific pricing rules, including business unit selection.

What's changing?

Before, CSP rules applied across all work regardless of which Business Unit performed the job. This could cause wrong rates to show on estimates and invoices. Now, you can assign one or more Business Units to a CSP rule. ServiceTitan will only apply that rule when the estimate or invoice belongs to one of those assigned Business Units. This will also allow you to use both CSP and Dynamic Pricing by associating the business units that apply to CSP rules, any BUs outside of that will follow the flat rate/dynamic pricing.

How it works for your industry

Residential Service and Replacement

  • When assigning rates for service visits, only show special pricing if the residential Business Unit performed the work.

  • If two divisions handle different HVAC jobs, you can now separate pricing logic.

  • Avoid pricing errors for dispatches by assigning rules only to your residential BU.

Commercial Service and Replacement

  • Create BU-specific pricing for your commercial HVAC team to reflect contract rates.

  • For plumbing work across multiple BUs, apply CSP rules only to relevant groups.

  • Link CSP rules to BUs serving specific property types or client accounts.

Residential Construction

  • Apply builder-specific pricing only when assigned construction BUs complete the job.

  • Separate pricing logic for service vs. construction work across teams.

  • Handle long-term CSP agreements per construction BU without affecting others.

Commercial Construction

  • Maintain accurate rates for contract clients when only select construction BUs handle jobs.

  • Apply different CSP rules depending on the type of work: improvements or core construction.

  • Avoid overlap of service discounts on construction jobs by scoping pricing rules to proper BUs.

How to Prepare?

  1. Confirm pricing workflows across Business Units.

  2. Identify CSP rules that should apply to only certain BUs.

  3. Train office employees on using the BU selector for CSP rate sheets.

  4. Align pricing governance so Managers and Bookkeepers can review CSP rules regularly.

  5. Check role permissions to access Pricebook and CSP settings.
