What's changing?
Previously, Advanced Reporting mode in Adaptive Capacity looked and felt different from Simple mode. While the simple mode is more user friendly, key data — including labor supply, adjustments, and scheduled hours — only appeared when you hovered over individual cells, and there was no expandable structure for navigating hierarchy levels. Now, Advanced Reporting matches the visual design of Simple mode. All data is displayed inline in every cell without hovering, and a collapsible tree structure lets you expand and navigate hierarchy levels.
Before and After
Before (Current)
Open Adaptive Capacity and navigate to Capacity Reporting.
Switch to Advanced mode.
Switch between Simple and Advanced modes to compare data, since the two modes have different visual layouts.
Impact: Reviewing capacity in Advanced mode requires repeated hover actions to surface key data. The visual difference between Simple and Advanced modes adds time and friction when switching between views.

After
Open Adaptive Capacity and navigate to Capacity Reporting.
Switch to Advanced mode — the layout now matches Simple mode.
Review labor supply, adjustments, and scheduled hours displayed inline in every cell. No hovering required.
Use the tree structure on the left side of the table to expand or collapse hierarchy levels for focused data review.
Impact: All capacity data is visible at a glance. The consistent layout between Simple and Advanced modes reduces the time needed to interpret data and switch between views.

How it works for your industry
Residential Service and Replacement
Your dispatcher reviews bookable hours for the week in Advanced mode. Labor supply and available capacity are now visible directly in each cell without hovering, so she can assess the day's schedule at a glance without extra clicks.
A service manager uses the new tree structure to expand business unit (BU) groups and review capacity at the job type level. The expandable view lets her drill down into the data she needs without losing sight of top-level totals.
During peak season, your manager selects the Dense density setting to display up to eight time windows on screen at once, giving the team a fuller view of the week without extra scrolling.
Commercial Service and Replacement
Your dispatcher manages multiple commercial accounts and uses Advanced mode to monitor capacity across BUs. Data is always visible inline, so he can spot scheduling gaps across arrival windows without hovering over individual cells.
A service manager uses the Sparse density setting during slower periods to keep the reporting view uncluttered, with up to four time windows showing at a time — just enough detail without visual noise.
Your operations manager applies a manual adjustment to open time capacity for a specific job type. The tree hierarchy structure lets her confirm which BU group the adjustment applies to before saving.
