Set up a shared company contact directory in Dialpad: recommended workflowLast updated on 05/12/2023

Employees may have contacts that are not shared among all employees in Dialpad. This article helps create a shared company directory for contacts to be shared among all Dialpad users.


Things to know

  • If the CSV file is not formatted correctly the upload will fail.

  • If the file is in another spreadsheet format such as XLS the upload will fail.


Workflows

Import your contacts

  • Open the CSV template.

  • Make a copy of the template by selecting File > Make a Copy.

Fill in the fields on the template.

  • First_Name - Contact's first name only

  • Last_Name - Contact's last name only

  • Company - Contact's company

  • Email - Contact's email

  • Phones - Contacts phone number(If multiple please create multiple contact entries) 

  • Country - Contact's country

Note: If any of these fields are irrelevant please delete them from the form, however, there must at least be a First_Name, Last_Name, and Phones field.

  • Download the file as a CSV file by going to File > Download > Comma Separated Values (.csv).

  • Email the file to support@servicetitan.com

  • A member of the ServiceTitan support team will reach out once the contacts are added and visible to all Dialpad company users!
