Set up a shared company contact directory in Dialpad: recommended workflowLast updated on 05/12/2023
Employees may have contacts that are not shared among all employees in Dialpad. This article helps create a shared company directory for contacts to be shared among all Dialpad users.
Things to know
If the CSV file is not formatted correctly the upload will fail.
If the file is in another spreadsheet format such as XLS the upload will fail.
Import your contacts
Open the CSV template.
Make a copy of the template by selecting File > Make a Copy.
Fill in the fields on the template.
First_Name - Contact's first name only
Last_Name - Contact's last name only
Company - Contact's company
Email - Contact's email
Phones - Contacts phone number(If multiple please create multiple contact entries)
Country - Contact's country
Note: If any of these fields are irrelevant please delete them from the form, however, there must at least be a First_Name, Last_Name, and Phones field.
Download the file as a CSV file by going to File > Download > Comma Separated Values (.csv).
Email the file to firstname.lastname@example.org
