Link Marketing Pro campaign to tracking phone number in the general campaign and phone settings: recommended workflowLast updated on 05/12/2023

ServiceTitan’s Marketing Pro allows companies to create tracking numbers directly in the campaign creation process and associate the campaign with the tracking number in the general Settings. There are several different methods to create and assign tracking phone numbers to Marketing Pro campaigns. Follow the recommended workflow steps below to correctly link phone numbers to Marketing Pro campaigns.

Create a new tracking number directly in the Marketing Pro campaign

The only way for the tracking number to automatically assign to the Marketing Pro campaign in Settings > Operations > Campaigns (and for the campaign to automatically assign to the number in Settings > Phones > Phone Numbers) is to add a new ServiceTitan tracking number directly in the campaign creation process.

  1. Go to Marketing Pro from the ServiceTitan navigation bar.

  2. Click on Campaigns and then either the Automated or the One-time tab depending on the type of campaign.

  3. Edit the campaign draft in question by clicking on the three dots > Edit (or click Create Campaign to make a new one if the campaign doesn’t exist yet).

  4. Scroll down to the Tracking Number section in the Overview step and click Add a Real Tracking Number.

  5. Go through all of the steps in the Add New Number popup (make sure to click Add Number to create the tracking number), and then click Save as draft to save changes.

  6. It may take a few moments for the system to update, but the new tracking number should automatically appear in the Phone Number Settings (Settings > Phones > Phone Numbers) and in the Campaign Settings (Settings > Operations > Campaigns) as linked to the campaign.


Associate manual non-ServiceTitan tracking number to the Marketing Pro campaign

If a manual non-ServiceTitan tracking number should be linked to the Marketing Pro campaign, that will not automatically update the campaign in Settings > Operations > Campaigns. The campaign should be manually edited in Settings to properly link the manual number. Something to note is using a manual non-ServiceTitan phone number will not track revenue to the campaign.

  1. Go to Marketing Pro from the ServiceTitan navigation bar.

  2. Click on Campaigns and then either the Automated or the One-time tab depending on the type of campaign.

  3. Edit the campaign draft in question by clicking on the three dots > Edit (or click Create Campaign to make a new one if the campaign doesn’t exist yet).

  4. Scroll down to the Tracking Number section in the Overview step and click Enter Number Manually

  5. Click Confirm in the Warning popup.

  6. Enter the phone number in the Manual Number field and click Save as draft to save changes.

  7. From the ServiceTitan navigation bar, click on the gear icon to access Settings, and go to Operations > Campaigns.

  8. Search for the campaign in question, and click Edit.

  9. In the Advertised Number field on the Edit Campaign page, enter the phone number from step 5 of this section and click Save.

  10. The manual phone number will now be associated with the Marketing Pro campaign. 

    Note: Although jobs can be manually linked to the marketing campaign to track revenue, calls to the manual number will not generate any revenue and cannot be tracked.


Associate the existing ServiceTitan tracking number with the Marketing Pro campaign

If an existing tracking number was created in ServiceTitan outside of the Marketing Pro campaign and is linked to the campaign by the Manual Number field, this will not automatically update the campaign (in Settings > Operations > Campaigns) nor the phone number (in Settings > Phones > Phone Numbers) to be assigned to each other. One of those Settings pages should be manually updated to link the existing tracking number to the Marketing Pro campaign so that revenue is tracked correctly, and then the other Settings page will automatically update.

  1. Go to Marketing Pro from the ServiceTitan navigation bar.

  2. Click on Campaigns and then either the Automated or the One-time tab depending on the type of campaign.

  3. Edit the campaign draft in question by clicking on the three dots > Edit (or click Create Campaign to make a new one if the campaign doesn’t exist yet).  

  4. Scroll down to the Tracking Number section in the Overview step and click Enter Number Manually

  5. Click Confirm in the Warning popup.

  6. Enter the existing tracking phone number in the Manual Number field and click Save as draft to save changes.

  7. From the ServiceTitan navigation bar, click on the gear icon to access Settings, and go to Operations > Campaigns.

  8. Search for the campaign in question, and click Edit.

  9. In the Advertised Number field on the Edit Campaign page, enter the tracking number from step 5 of this section and click Save. This will automatically update the tracking number in Settings > Phones > Phone Numbers to be linked to that Marketing Pro campaign.
