Configuring Holiday Hours | Routing Rules in Dialpad: recommended workflowLast updated on 05/12/2023

This article explains how to route calls to a different number during the holiday only.


Set up Holiday hours in Dialpad

  1. In Dialpad, go to the admin settings and click on the Mainline (Where all advertised numbers should be housed).

  2. Scroll below all the Mainline numbers and find ‘Business hours & Call Routing’.

  3. Click on this and find ‘Holiday Hours’.

  4. Click on the purple ‘Add Holiday’ button, from this menu you will be presented with the option to choose a holiday or create a new one.

  5. If you choose to create a new holiday you will name the holiday, choose the date, and choose whether the holiday will repeat. You will then select the business hours of the holiday, and the open and closed hours routing options. These routing options will only apply on the day of the holiday and will return to normal routing options after the holiday ends.  Note: If call centers or departments have direct numbers you will also need to set this up the same way in the department or the call center.
