Why did customers get this "Your Home Will Thank You" email campaign?Last updated on 05/12/2023
This article helps explain why customers received an automatic “Your Home Will Thank You” email campaign.
Problem
Customers may get a “Your Home Will Thank You” automated email that the company is unsure of where it originated from because it doesn’t appear as a campaign in the Marketing Pro module.
Solution
Double Opt-In Feature
The “Your Home Will Thank You” email is a result of the Double Opt-In feature of Marketing Pro. Double Opt-in is intended to improve deliverability from your marketing email domain and to reduce SPAM rates by confirming with the customer whether they actually want to receive marketing content from the company.
When a company enables Double Opt-In for the first time, all existing customer profiles should automatically get tagged as Opted In at once. What happens with new customers is they'll receive the automated “Your Home Will Thank You” opt-in email upon completing a job with the company, usually later that same day the job was completed.
Note: With Double Opt-In enabled, customers must be tagged as Opted In in order to receive marketing emails. If a customer appears in the audience reach but is not tagged as Opted In, they won’t be able to receive the campaign email.
If the feature is turned off, then no more opt-in emails will go out, and all customers should then be open to Marketing Pro emails as long as they aren't suppressed in any other way. Follow the steps in the next Edit or Turn Off Double Opt-In section.
Edit or Turn Off Double Opt-In
Double Opt-In can be edited or turned off entirely in the Marketing Pro Settings. Something to keep in mind is that disabling Double Opt-In could potentially lead to worse email delivery and a higher likelihood of marketing emails being flagged as SPAM, but following general email marketing best practices can help minimize the chance of those things occurring.
In ServiceTitan, click on the gear icon in the top navigation bar to access the General Settings.
In the Settings left-hand menu, go to Marketing Pro > Marketing.
Scroll down to the Double Opt-In section.
You can edit the following fields for the automated opt-in email if desired:
Subject Line
Header
Body Copy
Button Text
You can also click the Preview Email button to get a popup of what the opt-in email will look like on the customer’s end.
To turn off Double Opt-In entirely, click the green Enable toggle so it turns gray, and then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Save Changes.
