Problem
The Revenue by Job Type Report has a column for labor, but it does not accurately represent labor costs. Instead, it shows the total of tasks as revenue.
Solution
Go to Reporting in the main navigation bar.
Use search to find the Revenue by Job Type Report.
Look for the Labor column and note that it does not accurately represent labor costs.
Understand that the logic for the labor column calculates the task amounts, regardless of the GL account. Note: The Income column is associated with the GL account, and tasks with a revenue GL will be shown under the Income column.
Use the Costs Total KPI to accurately calculate labor costs.
To calculate the costs total, find the sum of all costs of materials, equipment, and purchase orders on the invoice.
