Emails to customers display the incorrect business nameLast updated on 05/12/2023

Email sent to customers is displaying the incorrect business names.


Problem

This article will help you troubleshoot where an incorrect name is showing on an email template.


Solution

This will walk you through the two different places to see if the incorrect name is listed to update your emails.


Check Email Settings

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Settingsicon-settings.png. In the side panel, click Invoicing > Email.

  2. Check the “From” field for each tab (Invoice, estimate, project, statement, etc) and make sure the sender name is correct.


Check Business Unit Settings

  1. If the placeholder for Business Unit Name is being used, this may be where the incorrect name is listed too.

  2. Go to the navigation bar and click Settingssettings.png. In the side panel, click Operations > Business Units and check the “Official Name” column. This is the customer-facing field that is used in many places throughout ServiceTitan.
