Problem

When attempting to create a payroll adjustment on an invoice, users may encounter an issue with the earning codes not appearing as options in the Code dropdown.

Solution

  1. Create a customer from the job booking screen before setting the bill-to customer on the adjustment invoice page. Note: If there is a total discrepancy on the original invoice, create a payroll adjustment.

  2. If the earning codes are not showing any results, create a new earning code with the non-hourly category.

  3. Wait for a few minutes or perform a hard refresh to allow the system to respond and display the newly-created earning code as an option on the invoice.

  4. Activate the earning code again if it was previously deactivated.

  5. Check if the earning code appears as an option in the Code dropdown on the payroll adjustment page.

  6. If the earning code is still not appearing, try waiting a few more minutes or performing another hard refresh.

Note: If users want to have the task on the original invoice, they will not be able to collect payments with different bill-to locations since those adjusted invoices wouldn't have the balance, hence, wouldn't allow collecting a payment.
