The article helps you guide the technicians to see which materials are linked to a piece of equipment.


Problem

The problem is that technicians want to see what materials are needed for their job.


Solution

To see what materials are linked to a piece of equipment, guide the technician to equipment to the estimate or invoice to see which materials automatically appear. Note: Only managed technicians can add equipment to the estimate or invoice.


Add equipment to the estimate

To add equipment to an estimate:

  1. In ServiceTitan Mobile, go to the Job profile.

  2. From the side menu, go to Estimates.

  3. Select the Estimate and click Add Items.

  4. Click Materials to see the materials linked to the equipment.


Add equipment to the invoice

Alternatively, you can add equipment to an invoice:

  1. From ServiceTitan Mobile, the Job profile.

  2. From the side menu, go to Invoice.

    Note: to avoid using a job invoice, use a Manual invoice instead. Go to the Profile photo and select Manual Invoices > Create New.

  3. On the invoice, click Add Item and add the Equipment item.

  4. The associated materials will be added to the invoice along with the equipment.
