Address verification is not working correctlyLast updated on 05/12/2023

This guide helps users troubleshoot issues related to users verifying addresses in ServiceTitan.

Problem

When a user attempts to verify a customer or location address in ServiceTitan, it either won’t verify the address or it will change it to an incorrect address.

Solution

ServiceTitan address verification uses Google Maps to verify the address. If a user’s address isn’t in Google Maps, ServiceTitan won’t be able to verify it. Use this workflow to verify a user's address. Use this workflow to report an incorrect address to Google.

Verify a user's address in Google Maps

Click Google Maps and search for the address. Note: If the address that Google Maps pulls up doesn’t match your search (for example, Google auto-corrected/changed the address to something different), it is an issue with Google Maps. When this occurs, there is nothing ServiceTitan can do and the issue must be reported to Google through this process: report an incorrect address to Google.

Report an incorrect address to Google

  1. Click Google Maps.

  2. Enter the address.

  3. In the search field, click the three horizontal lines and click Edit the map.

  4. Click Wrong Information or the appropriate corresponding issue from the list.

Note: ServiceTitan has no control over when Google will update the address and when the update will come back to ServiceTitan.

  5. Follow the steps on the screen.
