This article answers why all Yelp reviews aren’t appearing in ServiceTitan’s Reputation Management module.
Not all Yelp reviews are syncing into ServiceTitan’s Reputation Management module.
Companies using Reputation Management in ServiceTitan may notice they aren’t seeing the most recent Yelp reviews in their account. This is because Yelp has very strict guidelines for reviews and only allows up to 3 reviews to be synced into Reputation Management platforms (either the 3 most relevant or the 3 most recent, based on Yelp’s choosing). This is different from other sites like Google and Facebook where every review from those sites should sync into Reputation modules.
Review sites are connected to ServiceTitan’s Reputation Management through an API sync with our integration partner, Yext, and Yelp requires Yext to have a 3-review cap. Because ServiceTitan doesn’t actually store reviews in the system and instead syncs them via the API, you'll sometimes see more Yelp reviews in ServiceTitan than 3 in Yext. However, ServiceTitan is still technically limited to showing the reviews that Yelp allows. If Yext is configured to pull in the 3 most relevant reviews (based on Yelp’s choosing), then in ServiceTitan we would only be able to see Yelp reviews up to the dates for the 3 Yelp reviews appearing on the Yext side.
If your company prefers, Yext may be configured to show the 3 most recent Yelp reviews instead of the 3 reviews that Yelp deems most relevant. Please reach out to ServiceTitan Support for further assistance on this.
