Purpose of the Technician Performance by Business Unit Report:

This report provides an overview of technician sales performance and revenue, broken down by business unit. This report allows you to accurately track the conversion rate for technicians, if you have technicians who should be credited for generating leads for sales technicians.


Common uses for this report:

  • Use this report to view the number of convertible jobs, sold jobs, close rate, actual revenue, job average, leads, sales revenue from leads, and other data.


How to find this report:

Click Reports > Search Technician Performance by Business Unit > Click the report name. Then you will be able to set filters and run the report.


Report filters

Business Unit

Filter by business unit. This report can be run by a single business unit or all business units.

Date Range

Filter by date range. Use the From and To fields to set a custom date range.


View or download the report

Click Build to view the report.

The report can be downloaded in three different formats:

  • Download PDF

  • Export to Excel (*.xlsx) (click the dropdown arrow next to Download PDF)

  • Export to Comma separated (*.csv) (click the dropdown arrow next to Download PDF)


Explanation of report columns

The report includes the following columns:

Name

Name of the business unit under which the technician performed work.

Jobs Completed

Total number of jobs completed by the technician within the report date range. This total includes convertible and unconvertible jobs.

Calculation - Jobs Completed: [Total number of completed jobs]

  • Technician splits are not applied. The technician is credited for 1 job, as long as the job split is greater than 0%.

Convertible

Total number of jobs that the technician can potentially convert into a sold job, within the report date range. A job is considered a convertible job if it is not marked as No Charge, Recall, or Warranty job.

If the invoice amount exceeds the sold threshold, a job is always considered a convertible job, even if it is marked as No Charge, Recall, or Warranty job.

Calculation - Convertible: Total number of jobs not marked as No Charge, Recall, or Warranty job, or with an invoice amount that exceeds the sold threshold]

  • Technician splits are not applied. The technician is credited for 1 job, as long as the job split is greater than 0%.

Sold

Total number of convertible jobs with invoice subtotals greater than or equal to the sold threshold, within the report date range. This total excludes estimates.

Calculation - Sold:[Total number of convertible jobs greater than or equal to the sold threshold]

  • Technician splits are not applied. The technician is credited for 1 job, as long as the job split is greater than 0%.

How to Configure - Sold: To set the job sold threshold, navigate to Settings > Job Types > Add Job Type > Details tab > Sold Threshold.

Close Rate

Percentage of jobs the technician closed, based on business unit.

Calculation - Close Rage:[Sold] / [Convertible] * 100%.

Actual Revenue

Total revenue for all jobs completed, based on invoice subtotals.

Calculation - Actual Revenue: [Sum of invoice subtotals for all jobs completed by technician]. If there are splits, the technician will be credited for the percentage of the split: [Invoice subtotal] x [Technician split]. For example, two technicians work on a job and each is given a 50% split. The invoice subtotal is $1,000.00. Each technician will be credited with $500.00 in the Actual Revenue total.

Sold Avg.

Average dollar amount of converted estimates. The estimate must have a sold on date within the dashboard date range.

Calculation - Sold Avg:[Sum of converted estimates] / [Total number of converted estimates]. Trigger: Estimate converted (estimate must be above the sold threshold).

Job Avg.

The average invoice subtotal for all jobs completed by the technician, within the report date range.

Calculation - Job Avg:[Invoice subtotals for completed, converted jobs] / [Total number of completed, converted jobs]. Trigger: Job completed, Job converted (invoice subtotal must be above the sold threshold).

Lead #

Total number of leads set by the technician, based on business unit.

Calculation - Leads #:[Total number of leads]

Lead Gen %

Percentage of jobs that generated a lead, based on business unit.

Calculation - Leads Gen %:[Total number of lead jobs] / [Total number of jobs] *100.

Lead Sale %

Percentage of jobs that resulted in a lead with a sold estimate, based on business unit.

Calculation - Lead Sale %: [Total number of leads with a sold estimate] / [Total number of leads] *100.

Lead Sale $

Revenue generated from leads sold, based on business unit.

Calculation - Lead Sale $: [Total revenue generated from leads sold]

L. Sold Avg.

Average dollar amount of converted lead estimates. The lead estimate must have a sold on date within the dashboard date range.

Calculation - L Sold Avg:[Sum of converted lead estimates] / [Total number of converted lead estimates]. Trigger: Estimate converted (estimate must be above the sold threshold), Lead job (job created from the technician generated lead) has been completed.

L. Job Avg.

The average invoice subtotal for all lead jobs completed by the technician, within the report date range.

Calculation - L Job Avg:[Invoice subtotals for completed, converted lead jobs] / [Total number of completed, converted lead jobs]. Trigger: Job completed, Job converted (invoice subtotal must be above the sold threshold), Lead job (job created from the technician generated lead) has been completed.

Combined Conv Rate

Technician’s close rate for all jobs when leads are factored in, regardless of whether or not the leads were sold.

Calculation - L Job Avg:[Sold jobs] + [Leads] / [Convertible Jobs] *100.


Explanation of report totals

Total

Totals are calculated by taking the sum of each entire column.

Calculation - Total: [Sum of column totals]
