Purpose of the Technician Close Rate by Job Type Report:

This report provides an overview of technician sales performance / close rate. This report is designed for technicians who perform maintenance, service, or install jobs (not for sales technicians who are dispatched to provide estimates). Data is based on job completion dates.


Common uses for this report:

  • This report will show you how many jobs the technician was able to convert (this is the technician’s close rate). In ServiceTitan, a job is converted when the invoice subtotal is above the job sold threshold.

  • Use this report to see the average invoice subtotal for jobs the technician was able to convert.

  • Use this report to see how much revenue each technician is bringing in.


Required Setup for this Report:

In order to use this report, you must enter the job sold threshold for all of your job types (Settings > Job Types > Sold Threshold).


How to find this report:

Click Reports > Search Technician Close Rate by Job Type > Click the report name. Then you will be able to set filters and run the report.


Report filters

Date Range

Filter by date range. Use the From and To fields to set a custom date range.


View or download the report

Click Build to view the report.

The report can be downloaded in two different formats:

  • Export to Excel (*.xlsx) (click the dropdown arrow next to Download PDF)

  • Export to Comma separated (*.csv) (click the dropdown arrow next to Download PDF)


Explanation of report columns

Top Columns

At the top of the report, you will see that data is organized by job type. At the far right of the report, you will see totals for each technician.

Job Types

This report breaks down each technician’s jobs by job type.

How to Configure - Job Types: Go to Settings > Job Types

Total

To the far right of the report, you will see totals for each technician.

Calculation - Total:[Number of total sales] / [Number of total Opps]

Report Columns

The report includes the following columns:

Technician

Technician name.

# Opps

Total number of completed jobs that were convertible. Convertible jobs are jobs where the technician is expected to make a sale. Convertible jobs do not include jobs that are marked as Recall, Warranty, or No Charge.

Calculation - # Opps: [Number of completed, convertible jobs] x [Technician splits]. Trigger: Job completed.

  • If a non-convertible job had a dollar amount greater than zero on the invoice subtotal, include the job as an opportunity.

Close Rate

The technician’s close rate. The close rate is calculated by taking the total number of jobs with an invoice subtotal greater than the job sold threshold out of the total number of completed jobs that had the opportunity to be converted

Calculation - Close Rate: [# Sales] / [# Opps]. Trigger: Job completed, Job converted (invoice subtotal above the job sold threshold).

Revenue

Total revenue for completed jobs, based on invoice subtotals.

Calculation - Revenue: [Sum of the invoice subtotals for completed jobs, based on job type] x [Technician splits]

Average Ticket

Job average for completed, converted jobs, based on invoice subtotals.

Calculation - Average Ticket: ([Revenue] x [Technician splits]) / [# Opps]
