Set up and prioritize tags for the Dispatch BoardLast updated on 01/30/2023
On the Dispatch Board, tags appear when you hover over job bubbles and when you view the Tags column in the Job Tray. Short codes for tags also display in the job bubbles themselves. Tags, when properly prioritized, help you to know what to focus on when looking at the Dispatch Board. Set up tags to help you to manage your dispatching needs.
Things to know
The default tag importance level is Medium and when you’re creating tag types, most of them should stay Medium. If you mark too many tags as High importance, then nothing will actually stand out as priority on the Dispatch Board.
On the Dispatch Board, tags are arranged by importance level, and then alphabetically. For example, if the tags for a customer are Member, Urgent, and 2015 Customer, and Urgent is marked as High importance, you see the tags in the following order: Urgent, 2015 Customer, and Member.
High Value, with a short code of HV, to call out jobs that are likely to lead to increased revenue.
Urgent, with a shortcode of two exclamation point emojis, to immediately bring focus to jobs that are the most important.
Set up a tag for the Dispatch Board
Go to the navigation bar and click Settings .
From the side panel, click Operations > Tag Types.
On the Add a Tag Type screen:
Choose a color for the tag.
Name the tag.
Add a short code for the tag. The shortcode is a briefer description of the tag.
Note: Keep the short code brief so that more of them can show up in the job bubble. Emojis are a great way to save space in short codes. For example, for the Urgent tag, you could add the exclamation point emoji. To add an emoji, right-click in the Code field and select Emojis & Symbols.
Choose the importance level for the tag. Most tags are Medium, which is the default.
Select Conversion opportunity if you want all jobs marked with this tag to be considered a conversion opportunity. To learn more, see Set up your account for replacement opportunities.
