Using Sales Representative Identifications (Sales Rep IDs) in QuickBooks allows you to track and report the technician responsible for the work performed on an invoice. Using Sales Rep IDs also allows you to create QuickBooks report to easily track and view performance for each technician.
You can use QuickBooks reports to track technician performance when using Sales Rep IDs. Useful reports include:
Sales by Rep Summary. This report displays revenue totals for each technician with a Sales Rep ID.
Sales by Rep Detail. This report display invoice details for each technician with a Sales Rep ID.
When an invoice has more than one technician reported, the technician with the highest split will be exported to the Sales Rep field and the Memo field. The other technicians will not be exported.
You need to enter the Sales Rep ID both in QuickBooks and ServiceTitan. Exporting from ServiceTitan will not automatically add the ID to the QuickBooks profile for the technician.
Required QuickBooks setup
Technicians must be setup in QuickBooks as either Employees, Vendors, or Other Names to be linked to their technician profile in ServiceTitan.
Confirm your technicians have QuickBooks employee profiles set up.
To add technicians to the Sales Rep list, go to Lists > Customer > Vendor Profile List > Sales Rep List.
In the bottom left corner of the window, click Sales Rep > New. You can also use the shortcut CTRL+N.
Use the drop-down for Sales Rep Name to select which technician you would like to set up a Sales Rep ID for.
A Sales Rep ID will auto-populate in the Sales Rep Initial field. You can customize this to best fit your needs.
Required ServiceTitan setup
You will need to add the QuickBooks Sales Rep ID to your technician’s ServiceTitan profile
Go to Settings > Technicians.
Click the Edit Pencil for the technician you would like the add the Sales Rep ID to.
Enter the Sales Rep ID in the QB Rep ID field.
