Book and track your replacement opportunity jobs by following the steps below.


Manually add a replacement opportunity tag to a job

You will need this process only if you want to manually add a replacement opportunity tag to a job (for example, if a customer has an installed equipment item that is not in the service location record, or if an installed equipment item is not in your Pricebook).

Note: When you manually add a replacement opportunity tag to a job, the job will be included in replacement opportunity data.

Reminder: You should not need to use this process in most cases. If you have done required setup, ServiceTitan will automatically assign replacement opportunity tags to jobs.

To manually add a replacement opportunity tag to a job:

  1. Navigate to the desired job (Search > Job).

  2. Click the Edit Pencil on the job page.

  3. Enter the replacement opportunity tag in the Tags field.

  4. When you are done, click Save.


Add a replacement opportunity tag to a job type

You may want to add a replacement opportunity tag to a job type if you have a specific job type for an installation job or installation estimate. Note: When you add a replacement opportunity tag to a job type, jobs will be included in replacement opportunity data. Every job booked with this job type will automatically be given a replacement opportunity tag (regardless of whether or not there is installed equipment in the service location record).

To add a replacement opportunity tag to a job type:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Job Types.

  2. Click the Edit Pencil next to the desired job type.

  3. Add the replacement opportunity tag in the Tags field.

  4. When you are done, click Save.


Run the Customer by Equipment Age Report

Use the Customer by Equipment Age Report to identify replacement opportunities. The Customer by Equipment Age report will provide you a list of customers with installed equipment, and you can run the report for a specific equipment type past a certain age. You may run the report on a one-time basis or schedule the report to be sent to you regularly:

  1. Click Reports from the top navigation menu.

  2. Enter Customer by Equipment Age where you see Search by a report’s name.

  3. Click the name of the report. To receive the report regularly, click Schedule.

    Note: You will be able to set parameters for when the report will automatically run.

  4. Enter the desired report filters.

    • Use the Minimum Age field to search for equipment past a certain age (you may set an As Of date).

    • Use the Equipment Type field to filter for a specific equipment type.

    • For example, you may want to search Equipment Type “Water Heaters” with a Minimum Age of 8 years, to reach out to these customers.

  5. Click the Hourglass icon to view the report, or click the Dropdown Arrow to download the report. Clicking X will reset all report filters to default settings.
