Create and edit recurring service typesLast updated on 11/02/2022
Recurring services are regular service visits that are typically included with memberships, for example, weekly pool cleanings or seasonal HVAC maintenance. Recurring service events are generated based on the recurring service type frequency. Go to Follow Ups to review upcoming recurring service events and book them into jobs.
Things to know
Recurring services generate recurring events based on the frequency settings of the service.
View the Recurring Services Events screen in Follow Ups. There, they can be booked into jobs.
Recurring services and events appear on the customer’s service location record, not the customer record.
A membership can include multiple recurring services.

Go to the navigation bar and click Settings .
From the side panel, go to Invoicing > Recurring Service Types.

Tags—The tags that are attached to the service location
Invoice Template—The invoice template includes the services performed during the recurring event. This is used to generate the invoice for the recurring event. Tip: Typically, the invoice template total equals $0.00. Recurring services are usually included with a membership, which is billed separately.
Display Name—The name that is displayed externally in the Customer Portal.
Estimated Labor Cost—The estimated total hourly wage paid to technicians for one recurring service event.

Schedule Settings:
Recurrence Type—Unit of time the service repeats:
Weekly
Monthly
Seasonal
Daily
Recurrence Interval—How often the service is performed based on recurrence type. For example, if the Recurrence Type is Monthly and the Recurrence Interval is 3, then recurring events are scheduled every 3 months.
Recurrence Months—If the Recurrence Type is Seasonal, recurring events are scheduled for every selected month on the day of the month the membership is purchased.
Note: The day of the month can be edited in the service location’s recurring service record.
Duration Type—Service is continuous or a fixed number of visits
# of Total Visits—If Duration Type is fixed, the total number of visits included with the service Tip: If the Recurrence Type is Seasonal, the total visits should be equal to the number of Recurrence Months selected.
First visit already complete—If a service is performed at the time of purchase, select to subtract one visit from the # of Total Visits
Auto-adjust events based on previous completion date—For daily recurring service types only. When enabled, it does not generate a new recurring service event until the current one results in a completed job or it’s dismissed. If a service is completed ahead of schedule, the next event is scheduled based on the job completion date. For example, if a daily recurring service event scheduled for August 10 is actually completed on August 8, the next recurring event is scheduled for August 9. Note: This feature can only be enabled when creating a new daily recurring service event type. The setting cannot be edited.
