Set up ServiceTitan Pricebook ProLast updated on 03/23/2022

Set up your pricebook with ServiceTitan Pricebook Pro to take advantage of popular prebuilt services that include high resolution images, sold hours, and attached materials. Simple tools help you manage pricebook items, set prices, and keep your pricebook up to date.


Step 1: Download ServiceTitan Pricebook Pro items

Pricebook Pro items are separated into categories and subcategories. When you download an item, the same category structure maps over to your pricebook. For more information, see Set up Pricebook categories and subcategories.

Note: Material items are not browsable. When you download a service item, any linked material items are automatically downloaded to your pricebook.

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Pricebook.

  2. In the side menu, click Catalogs.

  3. Click ServiceTitan Pricebook Pro.

  4. Select the items you want to add to your pricebook:

    • Click an item to select it. A checkmark displays for selected items.

    • Hover over a category and click the checkmark in the upper left corner to select all items in that category.

      Note: When some—but not all—items within a category are selected, the partially-selected icon appears in the left corner.

    • Click Select All to select all items or categories displayed.

    The total number of selected items displays at the bottom of the screen. Tip: If you browse to a different category, any selected items remain selected. Click Clear All Selections to start over.

  5. When you’re done, click Add to Pricebook.

    After the items are added to your pricebook, you receive a notification at the top of the window.


Step 2: Review and edit service items

ServiceTitan Pricebook Pro services include sold hours and material costs, which are used to set prices. Before setting prices, review these values to ensure that they match your business’ sold hours and material costs for each added service. You can also add commission and tax details.

You can review service items in ServiceTitan or, if you need to manage a large number of services, you can export your pricebook and review it in a spreadsheet:

Review service items individually

Use this option to review and edit individual service items:

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Pricebook.

  2. In the side menu, click Services. The item table opens.

  3. Review the service details and make any necessary changes:

    • In the Details tab, review the Hours field, which contains the sold hours for the service. Update the sold hours as needed.

    • If the service is taxable, select Taxable.

    • In the Commission tab, enter any commission or bonus details for the service. For more, see the Commissions tab.

    • In the Materials tab, review the material items attached to the service and make any necessary changes:

      Note: To change the price of a material item, go to the Materials tab and update the item.

    • If you made any edits to the service, click Save.

Review service items in bulk

Use this option to review and edit several items at once in a spreadsheet and then import the changes:

  1. Export your pricebook to your computer as an XLSX file.

  2. Open the exported XLSX file in a spreadsheet application.

  3. Review service details and make any necessary changes:

    • In the XLSX file, click the Services tab and review the Hours column, which contains the sold hours for service items. Update the sold hours as needed.

    • If the service is taxable, enter 1 in the Taxable column.

    • Enter any commission or bonus details in the the PaysCommission, PayTechSpecificBonus, $ Bonus, and % Bonus columns in the Services tab. For more, see the Commissions tab.

    • Click the ServiceMaterialsLink tab and search by the code of the service you’re reviewing in the Service.Code column. Every entry for that service is an attached material item.

    • Review these material items and item quantities and make any necessary revisions.

    • Click the Materials tab and review the Cost column for material items and make any necessary revisions.

  4. To keep any changes, save the XLSX file and import it back into ServiceTitan.


Step 3: Set service prices

After you add Pricebook Pro service items to your pricebook, you can set material mark-up rates and prices for multiple items at once:


Step 4: Connect service items to your General Ledger account

If you have a general ledger account, you can map Pricebook Pro service items to it:

Note: To add Pricebook Pro materials to your accounting software, contact your implementation or success manager.


Step 5: Keep your pricebook up to date

Pricebook Pro frequently releases new categories, services, and materials for you to download. In addition, improvements to existing items are continuously added.
