Map earnings codesLast updated on 03/22/2022
After you register your company with ServiceTitan Payroll Pro, map your business’s earnings codes to your earning types so that our payroll partner can accurately process your payroll.
Things to know
Before your start, make sure to create earnings codes for your payroll workflow.
Payroll Pro uses earning types to distinguish the different kinds of pay an employee receives that may be taxed or calculated differently. Pay types include hourly pay, overtime, commission, and others.
Your payroll implementation specialist creates earning types when you first set up Payroll Pro.
Payroll amounts on pay stubs are itemized by earnings codes so employees can see the source of their earnings.
Map earnings codes
If you didn’t complete mapping your earnings codes with your payroll implementation specialist, don’t worry. It’s a simple process:
Go to the navigation bar and clickSettings
. In the side panel, go to People>Payroll.Payroll Settings opens.
Under Global Settings, in Earnings Codes, click Edit.
Define Earnings Codes opens.
Each earnings code is mapped to an earning type. To re-map an earnings code, go to the Actions column for that code and click Edit.
In the Earning Type column, click the dropdown and select the earning type you want to map to.
When you’re finished, under Actions, click Check
to save your changes.
If all looks good, click Sync to share the earnings code mapping with our payroll partner.Note: After you sync an earnings code, you can no longer edit it. This action cannot be undone.
In the confirmation pop-up, click Confirm.
Repeat these steps for all your un-synced earnings codes.
Important note: Some features may not be currently included in your account and additional configuration may be required. Please contact technical support for details.
