Purpose of the Memberships Sold By Report:

This report will help you analyze membership sales within a specific date range. The report includes membership details, such as customer name, invoice number, membership name, annual price of the membership, date the membership was sold, and the membership expiration date. Membership renewals are included in this report.


Common uses for this report:

  • Use this report to view memberships sold by technicians or employees.

  • Use this report to view any commissions and/or bonuses earned on membership sales.


How to find this report:

Click Reports > Search Memberships Sold By > Click the report name. Then you will be able to set filters and run the report.


Report filters

Employee

Filter by employee. This report can be run for a single employee or technician (anyone who sells memberships from the office or in the field) or all employees or technicians.

Business Unit

Filter by business unit of the invoice. This report can be run by a single business unit or all business units.

Date Range

Filter by date range. Use the From and To fields to set a custom date range.


View or download the report

Click Update to view the report.

The report can be downloaded in three different formats:

  • Download PDF

  • Export to Excel (*.xlsx) (click the dropdown arrow next to Download PDF)

  • Export to Comma separated (*.csv) (click the dropdown arrow next to Download PDF)


Explanation of report columns

The report includes the following columns:

Customer

Customer name.

Invoice

Invoice where the membership was sold.

Membership Name

Name of the membership plan.

Membership Type

Type of membership (New or Renewal).

Price

Price of the membership sales task on the invoice.

Start Date

Date the membership begins.

End Date

Date the membership expires.

Commission

Amount earned for the membership sale. If the membership was sold by a technician, this will include commission and/or bonuses earned for the membership sale. If the membership was sold by an employee, this will include the bonus earned only.

How to configure - Commission: If you would like technicians to earn commission on membership sales, make sure the Pays Commission box is checked on the membership sale task in your Pricebook. Go to Settings > Pricebook > Services. Locate the membership sale task (this is the New Sale Task configured when you set up the membership). Select the Commission tab. Check Pays Commission, then click Save.

How to configure - Membership sales to pay bonuses: If you would like employees or technicians to earn bonuses on membership sales, enter the applicable bonus on the membership sale task in your Pricebook. Go to Settings > Pricebook > Services. Locate the membership sale task (this is the New Sale Task configured when you set up the membership). Select the Commission tab. To pay a flat rate bonus for the membership sale, enter the bonus amount in the $ Bonus field. To pay a percentage bonus for the membership sale, enter the percentage in the % Bonus field. Then, click Save.

Sold By

Name of the employee or technician who sold the membership.

Sold On

Date the membership was sold.

Status

Status of the membership (Active, Expired, or Deleted).


Explanation of report totals

Commission Total

Total amount earned from all membership sales. If the memberships were sold by a technician, this will include commission and/or bonuses earned. If the memberships were sold by an employee, this will include bonuses earned only.
