You can use the Dispatch Board to send a text to an individual technician, mass text multiple technicians, and view texts from technicians.


Things to know

  • The text messages you see in the Messages panel are for the current day only.

  • If multiple employees from your office send messages to the same technician, you see all of them when viewing messages with a technician.


Mass text technicians

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Dispatch.

  2. From the Dispatch Board, click the Message icon.

  3. In the Mass Send Message field, enter the text message you want to send.

  4. Select the technician(s) you want to send the message to. Note: Filter technicians by Business Unit if you want to send a message only to technicians within a specific Business Unit.

  5. When you’re finished, click Send Message.


Text an individual technician

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Dispatch.

  2. Click the profile picture of the technician you would like to text.

  3. Select Send Message from the dropdown.

  4. Enter your message, then click Send.

    Note: If the technician is currently dispatched to a job, you can select Attach this message to the technician's current job.


View incoming texts from technicians

The Messages section on the Dispatch Board displays incoming texts from technicians. Click View Chat History to view all of the messages sent between the technician and office employees.

When you open the chat history between a technician and office employees, technician messages are aligned to the left, and office employee messages are aligned to the right.
