Manually adjust Capacity PlanningLast updated on 03/30/2022

The capacity planning board shows the number of work hours and technicians available for jobs at a given time window. This article helps you understand how you can view the board and how it works.


Things to know

  • All employees can view the Adjustable Capacity Planning (ACP) board, but only users with the Manually Adjust Capacity permission can manually adjust capacity.


View the Capacity Planning Board

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Schedule.

  2. Click the Capacity Planning tab.

The Capacity Planning board opens:

  • You can view technician availability by hour.

  • Time slots are organized by business units and displayed by the day.

You can customize your view of the board by using the Filter to show or hide business unit groups. When finished, click Apply.

Tip: To hide the business unit group, click the Delete image8 icon next to the business unit group.

You can also click the middle of a time slot to see a summary of the time slot, including the total time of work booked, the total amount of technician time available, and any manual adjustments made to the timeslot window.


Manually adjust an individual time slot

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Schedule.

  2. Click the Capacity Planning tab.

  3. Hover over the arrival window you want to adjust and click plus or minus.


Manually adjust multiple time slots

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Schedule.

  2. Click the Capacity Planning tab.

  3. Click Bulk Edit.

  4. Select the time slots you want to edit:

    1. You can select an entire day to adjust the capacity for all time slots within that day.

    2. You can enable the Select All option to select and adjust the capacity for all visible time slots.

  5. Click plus or minus to specify the number of hours you want to add or subtract. Tip: You can use your keyboard to enter the correct number of hours you want to add or subtract.

  6. Click Submit to adjust the capacity for all selected arrival windows.
