Enter basic information about your pricebook, memberships and recurring services, payroll, accounting, service area, and sales tax.


Things to know

  • This information is important for your setup so that we can recommend the features ServiceTitan offers from which your company can benefit the most. 

  • If your accounting software is not listed, you can still export from ServiceTitan and import it into your accounting software. 

  • When importing your pricebook, we support the following file formats: CSV, XLS, XLSX, PDF, DOC, PNG, and JPG. The maximum file size is 5 MB. You can upload up to 6 files for a total of 30 MB.


Operations Workflow

Step 1: Tell us about your pricebook

Your pricebook is an integral part of your ServiceTitan setup. You won’t import your pricebook yet, but you can select from the following options to tell us a little more about how you want your pricebook setup.

Select from the following options:

  • I use software to manage my playbook

    • When selected, enter the name of the software you use

  • I have a document with this information (for example, Excel, CSV, PDF)

    • When selected, upload your document by clicking Choose Files. You can upload multiple files.

  • I don’t have a pricebook and will need help creating one

    • When selected, you can learn more about our Pricebook Pro option by clicking Learn More.

  • I’m going to use Pricebook Pro

When you’re done, click Continue.

Step 2: Your membership programs and recurring services

Next, you can tell us about the memberships and recurring services you offer your customers.

Select from the following options:

  • Your company offers memberships with recurring services, contracts, and/or discounts

    • When selected, choose whether or not you defer revenue until the work is performed. Then attach any existing membership documents you have, such as a service agreement breakdown or customer list by clicking Choose Files.

  • Your company offers recurring services with no contracts or discounts

    • When selected, upload any existing membership documents you have, such as a service agreement breakdown or customer list by clicking Choose Files. Note: You can upload up to 10 files. The maximum size for each file is 10 MBs, totaling 100 MBs for the upload.

  • None of the above

When you’re done, click Continue.

Step 3: Your payroll setup

Enter basic information about your payroll setup. Your responses help shape your payroll setup.

  1. Choose how you pay your technicians:

    1. Hourly

    2. Performance pay (commission, bonus, spiffs, etc.)

  2. Choose how you pay your office employees:

    1. Hourly

    2. Salary

    3. Performance pay (commission, bonus, spiffs, etc.)

  3. Select if your previous payroll software uses payroll tracking:

    1. Yes

    2. No

  4. When you're done, click Continue

Step 4: Your accounting software

ServiceTitan integrates with several accounting software to export your financial transactions.

Select which accounting software you’ll integrate with:

  • Quickbooks Online

  • Quickbooks Desktop

  • Sage Intacct

  • None of the above

When you’re done, click Continue.

Step 5: Your service area

Select the areas you service to help determine your tax setup.

Choose from the following options:

  1. If you operate in the United States: 

    1. Yes

      1. When selected, use the dropdown menu to enter the states your company provides service in.

    2. No

  2. If you operate in Canada:

    1. Yes

      1. When selected, use the dropdown menu to enter the areas your company provides service in.

    2. No

When you’re done, click Continue.

Step 6: Your sales tax policy

Based on your selections on the Service Area screen, you need to let us know if you charge sales tax in the areas you service.

If you charge sales tax, select Yes.

The states and areas in your service areas display. Choose which service areas you charge sales tax in. You can check the areas individually, or click Select All to select all the areas.

The Sales Tax Confirmation pop-up displays where you can review your selections. If correct, click Continue. If you need to make changes, click Go Back.

If you don’t charge sales tax, select No.

When you’re done, click Continue.
