COVID-19 Impact Custom ReportsLast updated on 03/22/2022

We know it’s important for you to be able to track the potential impact that COVID-19 is having on your business. For that reason, there is now a set of COVID-19 reports that you can export from ServiceTitan and import into a spreadsheet. This allows you to compare year-over-year data in both table and graph formats across the most essential key performance indicators (KPIs), such as call leads received, future jobs on the books, canceled jobs, and revenue.

Before you can use the reports

Before you can use the reports, you'll need to download a spreadsheet template using one of two formats:

To edit the sheet once it's downloaded to your computer, make a copy of the file (File > Make a Copy). For a walk-through, watch this video.

Note: For the spreadsheet to work correctly, follow the instructions. Additional customizations made to the ServiceTitan exports will cause the applied formulas to work incorrectly.

About permissions: These reports are available as recommended reports for anyone with Administrator or Business Owner roles selected in their ServiceTitan user profiles (and can be dismissed).

Export the reports

In ServiceTitan, export these three reports and follow the instructions below:

Report 1: COVID-19 Revenue Impact

This report shows all completed jobs and their revenue. Run the report using the following report filters:

  • Filter by = Completion date

  • From = 01/01/2019

  • To = Today

Report 2: COVID-19 Call Leads

This report shows all calls received marked as leads. A lead is automatically classified as an incoming call that is 60 seconds or longer. Calls can also be manually marked as leads by any office user. Run the report using the following report filters:

  • Filter by = Call date

  • From = 01/01/2019

  • To = Today

Report 3: COVID-19 Canceled and Future Jobs Impact

This third report includes future jobs on the books and canceled jobs. The report returns jobs that meet both criteria—these will be separated later by the spreadsheet template. Run the report using the following report filters:

  • Filter by = Start date

  • From = 01/01/2019

  • To = 12/31/2020

Copy and paste the report results into the corresponding sheets of the template. Each sheet is named to match the report names. Access the Summary sheet to view the graphs. A new week is added on Fridays. Any changes made to the summary chart or table will likely affect the formulas that automatically chart the data. The graphs on the spreadsheet adjust to include data from the exported reports.

You can independently verify the outputs of this report by consulting the dashboard in ServiceTitan. It’s worth noting that when comparing weeks, months, or years there is a 1-day offset in the 2020 data after 2/29. This is due to the leap year in 2020. You can still compare individual dates across both years with no impact besides a lack of data on 02/29/2019.

These reports are designed to give you a quick overview of the potential impact COVID-19 is having on your business. The spreadsheet template is built to be updated with new data from ServiceTitan reports up until July 1 and includes sample, randomly-generated data. Any similarity to existing data is coincidental.
