Build estimates

With the mobile estimates redesign, you build estimates in ServiceTitan Mobile as you do in the standard mobile workflow. You can either build estimates manually or use proposal templates to add a selection of prebuilt estimates, which can save time and enhance the user experience.

The estimates redesign includes two new fields in the Estimate Details section that allow you to add rebates and energy savings.

Add rebates to an estimate

You can add a rebate to an estimate so users can factor in the rebate amount when considering an installation. Note: Make sure your technicians are able to provide users with any related rebate forms.

  1. From the job screen side menu, tap Estimates.

  2. Tap the estimate that you want to add a rebate to. The estimate opens.

  3. In the Estimate Details section, tap Add Rebates. A pop-up opens.

  4. In the Title field, enter the name of the rebate as you want it to appear on the estimate.

  5. In the Amount field, enter the amount of the rebate, including text. For example,$50.00 or Up to $200. Note: The rebate amount does not affect the estimate or invoice subtotal.

  6. When you’re done, tap Add.

Note: Tap the rebate in the Estimate Details section to view rebate details. Tap Edit to revise the rebate details.

The rebate amount displays with the estimate when you present estimate options to customers.

Add energy savings to an estimate

Use the SEER Energy Savings Calculator to estimate the savings in electricity costs. You can include energy savings on the estimate.

  1. From the job screen, in the side menu, tap Estimates.

  2. Tap the estimate that you want to add energy savings to. The estimate opens.

  • In the Amount field, enter a dollar amount of savings the customer can expect.

  • When you’re done, tap Add.

To use the SEER calculator:

  • Tap Use Calculator.

The SEER Energy Savings Calculator opens.

a. Under the Title field, tap Expand ex for each dropdown to enter the following details:

  • Location of Install—State where the service location is located

  • AC Capacity—BTU capacity of the HVAC system on the estimate

  • Current SEER—SEER rating of the customer’s current HVAC system

  • New SEER—SEER rating of the HVAC system on the estimate

b. Under Show Savings for, select how many years you want to show savings for on the estimate. Tip: If the Title field is blank, the year selection auto-fills the Title field.

c. When you’re finished, tap Calculate. A pop-up opens showing the amount of expected savings.

The savings amount displays with the estimate when you present estimate options to customers.
