Opportunity and Estimate Follow Up reportLast updated on 03/22/2022

Use the Opportunity and Estimate Follow Up report to track sales opportunities and manage estimates. The report includes estimate details such as customer information, estimate subtotals, and more that you can use to filter and sort the report results.


Run report

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Reports.

  2. Click the Opportunity and Estimate Follow Up report.Tip: In the search field, enter a few letters from the report title for quick access.

    The report opens.

  3. Click the Date Type dropdown to select which dates you want to filter your report by:

    • Sold On—Date the estimate was sold

    • Follow Up Date—Scheduled follow up date on the estimate

    • Parent Completion Date—Date the job that created the estimate was completed

    • Creation Date—Date the estimate was created

  4. Click the From - To field to set date filters. You can:

    • Use the calendar to select a specific date range and click Apply.

    • Use the left menu to select a preset date range:

      • Today—From 12:00 AM to the current time

      • Yesterday—Previous day, from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM

      • Last 7 Days—Previous seven days, including the current date

      • Last 14 Days—Previous 14 days, including the current date

      • Last 30 Days—Previous 30 days, including the current date

      • Month to Date—From the first of the current month to the current day

      • Last Month—Entire month before the current month. For example, if the date is February 5, the entire month of January.

      • Last 90 Days—Previous 90 days, including the current date

      • This Quarter—Current quarter, including future dates. For example, if the date is April 25, from April 1 - June 30.

      • Last Quarter—Entire quarter before the current quarter. For example, if the date is April 25, from January 1 - March 31.

      • Quarter to Date—From the first day of the current quarter to the current day

      • Year to Date—From January 1 of the current year to the current day

      • Last 365 Days—Previous 365 days, including the current date

  5. Click the Business Unit dropdown and select the business units (BUs) you want to report on. By default, the report runs for all BUs. You can filter your report by business units or business unit categories:

    • Click the dropdown to select individual BUs.

    • To report on BU categories such as trade or division, click Filter icon-filter.png, select the BU categories you want to include, and click Filter.

    Note: How BU filters are applied depends on the metric. Hover over a column to see a tooltip explaining how BU filters are applied.

  6. When you’re finished setting your filters, click Run Report.


Read report results

Each line in the report represents an estimate. The report includes the following columns:

  • Estimate Id—Estimate ID number

  • Parent Job Number—ID number of the job where the estimate was created

  • Opportunity Number—ID number of the opportunity the estimate is attached toTip: Click an estimate ID, parent job, or opportunity number to open it in a new browser tab.

  • Estimates Subtotal—Subtotal of the items on the estimate

  • Customer Name—Name of the customer on the estimate

  • Business Unit—Business unit of the estimate

  • Opportunity Status—Status of the opportunity the estimate is attached to. Statuses include: Open, Not Attempted, Unreachable, Contacted, Won, or Dismissed.

  • Estimate Age (Days)—Number of days since the estimate was created

  • Follow Up Date—The date of the next scheduled follow up

  • Number of Follow Ups—Count of follow ups logged on the opportunity the estimate is attached to

  • Last Follow Up Date—Date of the most recent follow up logged on the opportunity the estimate is attached to

  • Estimate Status—Status of the estimate. Statuses include: Sold, Dismissed, or Open.

  • Recommended—Indicates if the estimate is marked as Recommended

  • Sold By—Name of the technician or office employee credited with the sold estimate

  • Sold On—Date the estimate was sold

  • Estimate Created By—Name of the technician or office employee who created the estimate

Tip: You can arrange report columns and apply filters for further customization. For example, to find and prioritize open opportunities, you can sort the report by estimate age and filter for opportunities that do not have the status of Won or Dismissed.
