Guide to TURNS Financing Services: Offer instant financing to eligible customersLast updated on 03/01/2023


Things to know

When you integrate your ServiceTitan account with TURNS, you will be able to offer instant and paperless financing options through ServiceTitan Mobile.


Overview

Why should I offer financing?
  • Homeowners often obtain financing for high-cost jobs - in fact, 50% of renovations costing over $5,000 are financed.

  • Your technicians will hear “yes” more often to high-cost jobs.

  • Your technicians will close deals faster, and be able to take on more jobs.

What are the benefits of using TURNS?
  • Technicians will be able to walk the customer through the entire loan application process, all within ServiceTitan Mobile.

  • When customers apply for financing through ServiceTitan Mobile, they will get a loan decision from TURNS in seconds.

  • Eligible customers will be able to accept their approved loan immediately.

  • If the customer is approved, the technician will be able to record payment immediately using the TURNS Financing payment Type.


How to submit a new loan application to TURNS from the Estimates screen (ServiceTitan Mobile)

  1. A customer indicates that they are interested in applying for TURNS Financing.

  2. Navigate to Estimates screen.

  3. Tap Present. The Presentation Mode screen will appear, where you may review estimates and apply for financing. You must be in presentation mode to offer TURNS Financing from the Estimates screen.

  4. Tap Apply for Financing, located in the top right corner of your screen.

  5. If prompted with financing options, the customer can click Apply Now under the TURNS Financing Services option.

  6. The customer will enter in basic information, including their Date of Birth,Social Security #, and Gross Annual Income ($). All other required fields will automatically populate, but can be reviewed and edited if needed. See the image and table below for an explanation of required application fields.

    Email

    Customer email address.

    Date of Birth

    Customer birth date.

    Social Security #

    Customer social security number.

    Phone Number

    Customer phone number.

    Gross Annual Income

    Customer gross annual income. You may choose not to include alimony, child support, or separate maintenance income if you do not wish to have it considered as a basis for repaying this obligation.Married Wisconsin residents: Combine your and your spouse’s information on this application.

    First Name

    Customer first name.

    Last Name

    Customer last name.

    Location address

    Customer location address. Include the street address, unit (if applicable), City, State, and Zip. Verify the customer location address by clicking the Location icon. This will use Google Verification to ensure the address is captured correctly.

  7. Once all required fields are completed, the customer can tap Continue.

  8. The electronic consent agreement appears. Please tell the customer they can take as long as they like to review it.

  9. When the customer is ready to accept the electronic consent agreement, they must check each agreement box before submitting the application.

  10. Once each agreement box is checked, the customer can tap Submit to proceed with submitting the TURNS Financing application.

  11. Once the customer is approved, you will be able to select Turns Financing payment type to record payment on the invoice.


How to submit a new loan application to TURNS from the Invoice screen (ServiceTitan Mobile)

  1. A customer indicates they are interested in applying for TURNS Financing.

  2. Navigate to the Invoice screen.

  3. Tap Pay.

  4. Tap Apply for Financing, located in the top right corner of your screen.

  5. If prompted with financing options, the customer can click Apply Now under the TURNS Financing Services option.

  6. The customer will enter in basic information, including their Date of Birth, Social Security #, and Gross Annual Income ($). All other required fields will automatically populate, but can be reviewed and edited if needed. See the image and table below for an explanation of required application fields.

How to hide or cancel the TURNS application

Hide the TURNS application

If you tap Hide or navigate away from the application flyout, the application will remain open. To get back to the application, simply tap Apply for financing.

Cancel the TURNS application

If you want to exit the application completely and cancel your progress, tap the three dots in the upper right corner of the application flyout. Then, tap Exit.

TURNS will automatically return application results within seconds. Loan applications will be approved if the customer meets the requirements for submitting the application. If the TURNS loan application is approved, the customer will be presented with two types of offers:


How to select an offer from an Approved application

If the TURNS loan application is approved, the customer will receive two offers: one offer with a deferred interest period and one offer without a deferred interest period. To accept one of the loan offers, complete the following:

  1. Once the customer reviews the loan offers, they can select the desired offer by tapping Select.

  2. Then, the customer can tap Continue. The credit agreement screen will appear. The customer must review the credit agreement before the loan offer is accepted.

  3. The customer can tap Credit Agreement to view the credit agreement in detail. The credit agreement details will appear.

  4. Once the customer has viewed the credit agreement, they can check the agreement box.

  5. Then, the customer can tap Exit to finish the application and proceed to recording the payment.

TURNS will automatically return application results within seconds. Loan applications will be declined if the customer does not meet the general requirements for submitting the application. If the TURNS loan application is declined, the customer will receive the following notification:

TURNS will automatically return application results within seconds. Loan applications will be rejected if the customer does not meet the minimum requirements for submitting the application. Applications will be rejected if the customer does not meet certain minimum requirements such as Age and Basic income. If the TURNS loan application is rejected, the customer will receive the following notification:


How to set up TURNS in ServiceTitan

Enable TURNS for ServiceTitan Mobile

Before you enable TURNS for ServiceTitan Mobile, make sure your technicians know how to use TURNS features. For information on how to use TURNS features, see How to submit a new loan application to TURNS (ServiceTitan Mobile) in the Getting Started tab above. To enable TURNS for ServiceTitan Mobile, complete the following:

  1. Go to Settings > Mobile.

  2. Under Data Access Options, check TURNS.

  3. When you are finished, click Save. Technicians can start using TURNS in ServiceTitan Mobile immediately. Note: All technicians must download the Pricebook and sync changes before they start using TURNS Financing Services in ServiceTitan Mobile.


How to download the Pricebook and sync changes

You must download the Pricebook and sync changes before you can start offering TURNS Financing in ServiceTitan Mobile.

Download the Pricebook

Tap the Sync sync icon in the upper right corner of your screen. Then, select Download pricebook.

Tap the Sync sync icon in the upper right corner of your screen. Then, select Sync changes.

When you download the Pricebook and sync changes, a Turns Financing payment Type will automatically be created in ServiceTitan Mobile for you to use when recording payment.


How to apply Turns Financing to record payment on the invoice (ServiceTitan Mobile)

Once the job is complete and the customer is approved for a loan, you can apply TURNS Financing to record payment on the invoice. To record payment on the invoice using TURNS Financing, complete the following:

  1. Navigate to the invoice.

  2. Tap Pay.

  3. When you are ready to record payment, tap the Choose payment type dropdown.

  4. Select Turns Financing. If you do not see this payment type yet, download the Pricebook and sync the latest changes.

  5. Proceed as you would with any other payment.

Note: If the Turns Financing payment Type is recorded from Mobile, the invoice is automatically sent to TURNS after you collect the customer signature. TURNS reviews the invoice and funds the customer via ACH within three business days.


How to apply Turns Financing to record payment on the invoice (ServiceTitan Office)

Once the job is complete and the customer is approved for a loan, you can apply TURNS Financing to record payment on the invoice. To record payment on the invoice using TURNS Financing, complete the following:

  1. Navigate to the invoice.

  2. Click Add a payment.

  3. When you are ready to record payment, click the Type dropdown.

  4. Select Turns Financing.

  5. Proceed as you would with any other payment.

Note: If the Turns Financing payment Type is recorded from the Office, the invoice will not automatically be sent to TURNS. The Office must manually upload the invoice using this link provided by ServiceTitan, after the job is completed and you collect the customer signature.
