Enable text and email dispatch notificationsLast updated on 03/31/2022

Dispatch notifications let you automatically send text and email booking confirmations, reminder notifications, and dispatch notifications to customers. Set up and send booking and reminder notifications so your customers know that their appointment is booked. Use technician arrival tracking with photos so your customers know not only when their technician will arrive, but what they look like.

Note: Customers will see the technician’s rating only if the technician has 4 stars or above.

Enable dispatch notification texts

  1. Go to Settings > Customer Notifications.

  2. Click Dispatch Notifications.

  3. To enable dispatch notifications by text, click Text from the menu at the top.

Note: There is no way to enable text and email notifications at the same time. If you want to enable both, you’ll repeat the process for both text and email.

  4. In order to enable text notifications, your default SMS number must be set up. If your default SMS number is properly configured, you will see a green checkmark.

Note: If your default SMS number is not set up, you will see a red warning sign.

You will not be able to enable text notifications until you set up your outbound (default) SMS number.

Clicking Edit phone number will take you to Settings > Phone where you can set up your default SMS number.

  5. Before you enable dispatch notifications, make sure you are happy with the notification message. A default message has been set up for you. You have the option to customize the notification message if desired.

  6. Click the Arrival Tracking tab if you would like to turn on real-time technician tracking. Make sure Enable arrival tracking for text and email is ON.

Note: Before you can enable arrival tracking, you’ll need to enable native GPS for each technician device (Settings > Gps).

  7. [optional] If desired, you can limit the number of dispatch notifications by clicking the Settings tab. If you are worried about customers receiving too many notifications, it is recommended you choose Limit dispatch notifications when multiple techs are dispatched as your setting.

  8. When you are ready, use the ON/OFF toggle to turn ON dispatch notifications (the toggle will turn green).
